What's new

Oui Oui Gobert!

Haha that's probably why he was so high on Wolters, Olynk, and MCW.

Doesn't explain why he was high on Gobert. That's like a double smoke screen.

He actually was explaining on the radio that the Jazz were really high on both Zeller and Olynyk, as they viewed them both as potentially the perfect 3rd big compliment to Favors and Kanter, and a potential key compliment to one of them if one of Favors and Kanter had to be moved because they didn't mesh (he said there was some concerns of this nature this currently in the organization). He also said he was halfway through a Wolters highlight / analysis video because he was convinced we would end up with him. But then Burke just kind of happened.

So there likely was some shopping of Enes happening. Trade value would be low right now due to his injury and lack of PT.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember something about an upcoming NBA rule change regarding offensive goaltending... If indeed it is changed to the FIBA way, Gobert is going to be really useful, cleaning the rim on both ends.

From France it's 99% sure that Gobert will play with the Jazz next year.
Cholet waived their coach next year and the new one was not interesting in developping new guys. So Gobert had less playing time and responsabilities and the season wasn't good for him and the team.

He will come but he needs to gain some muscle and has a lot to do to develop an offensive game.
The good point is that isn't affraid to play in the paint (not a Petro or an Ajinca)
In fact is king of a McGee less athletic.

For me at this time is more a 4th rotation inside (like Kanter was last year).

This guy needs something to eat. Al has to teach him,how he has to build a body competitive in the National Basketball Association.

There was talk about the Jazz taking him at 14 if they couldn't move up in the draft so to get him at 27 is amazing. I read he blew away the Jazz in his workout. I think it was a great pick.

Welcome to Jazzfanz!

I haven't heard anything about goaltending rule changes. Not sure what you're thinking of.
