Good draft, but with Lyles out of the picture our PF spot is even thinner. What do you all expect to happen between now and the start of camp with respect to the PF position?
I'm thinking Patrick Patterson

Well we still have Favors/Johnson as a solid rotation at the PF. With Mitchell playing 1 and 2, Ingles/Hayward can play more minutes at the 4. Hopefully we can figure out how to get Patterson.
And maybe the Jazz think Bolomboy can play some 4? IDK. Not sure what the Jazz can really do.
I know the cliche is draft the best player available, but I think that is ham-fisted, flawed logic, and the Jazz addressed precisely 0 of the concerns I would've identified as pressing, even critical.
So I sure hope they have a plan. I hope they know that Hayward is leaving or isn't, because that's what it looked like tonight, that they aren't concerned about improving the team that existed last year in any substantial way.
Maybe the best way to put it is tonight seemed like a very Orlando Magic style performance of the Jazz tonight: pieces that are awkward fits, fill no need, aren't shooters.
Anyway, I really don't know anything and will just hope that these moves were actually really good. Taken totally out of context of an already-existing team, this was a good draft.
...
I hope. I don't know, I hate perimeter players that can't shoot. Drive me up the ****ing wall.
I mean, I REALLY don't know what I'm talking about. DX has been down so I'm just swinging off word-of-mouth stuff. Just saw a DX strengths video on Mitchell and now I'm high on him. This **** is such a waste of god damn time. I hope I can stay away from this **** because I do not have the time to waste.
Go Jazz.
