Because we can't be realistic in this thread? Sorry, Pres. Trump, I didn't know only one viewpoint was allowed. Its likely the Jazz DONT get home court. Winning against OKC was amazing last season. But home teams generally win. And I dont see Utah getting past Denver or GS in the 2nd round to get to the WCF.

The trade exceptions can't be combined so they're basically useless. No one is going to give up a good player for those small amounts.

DL at the helm? He basically shot his wad acquiring Korver. I guess he has Thabo and Udoh as expirings, but I doubt he trades Favors. Burks was the lone big contract Utah had and he's gone. Lindsey wasnt willing to give Chicago a 1st for Mirotic. I doubt he gives up a 1st this year. The value of having another stud rookie like Allen instead of a player like Niko is immeasurable.

Hidsight is always 20-20. It's funny how people keep referring back to Mirotic. We can easily look at every single GM in the league and pick them apart for missed potential trades. It would have been nice to have held off on trading Burks to see what we could get but we desperately needed to get some shooting.

And look at our record before we acquired Korver VS after. Jazz had an awful 3 point % (under 30% during November before acquiring Korver). I personally like having a player who shoots a high-volume of threes at 40%.

And the trade exceptions are useful. 3.7M for the Johnson trade has value when combined with an expiring like Thabo. That's enough to trade for a player who can help the team.

If the Pels start trading everyone off, would they do Sefalosha, an exception and a 2nd or two for Randle?

Not sure how we’d do lineups then but despite mediocre 3 point numbers, he brings some firepower we sort of sorely lack. And his contract was only for two years.

Not sure. I’d think so too but on nba.com, they’re listed ahead of us.

Do we own the tiebreaker with the lakers?
I feel like we do so we would be 8th and they would be 9th.

It's 1-1. The tie-breaker currently goes by conference record (.533 % vs .52 %) since a) neither team is leading their divisions and then b) not in the same division.
