The Pels
This is the 4th and final match up between these two teams this year and the Pels currently lead the season series 2 games to 1. The Jazz lone win was the first meeting in UT and the only non back to back meeting of the series. With the Pels winning the last two meetings both of which the Jazz were on the 2nd night of a back to back which consisted of the Jazz playing in SA the night before to then fly home and then playing in DAL and then flying to NO (in that order). The relevance of that is the Jazz will again be on the tail end of a back to back coming off a yet another tough loss last night in MEM.
The Jazz are on the last game of a 4 game road swing which they are 0-3 adding to their current 5 game losing streak.and overall losing 8 out of their last 10 games, which coincidentally also started against the Pels in NO. In that stretch of 10 games minus the 18pt home loss to the Spurs the Jazz have been in each game with a chance to win and in those 8 losses 6 have been on the road to 5 playoff teams and disappointing losses being a road loss to these Pels and a home loss to the Nets. In this current 10 game stretch a few things that have remained consistent in their losses, giving up too many turnovers, giving up too many offensive reboundsand giving up too many 4th quarter leads which all contribute to not being able to close out those games.
So what does all that nonsense and opinionated drivel mean? Heck if I know but I am hoping that it all ends tonight against the team that started the Jazz down this miserable stretch.
