Gonna wait until we sign another PG and a 3rd big.

If we pick up Millsap, well be in the low 40s again.

Not sure if 25 is too low, yes we need to see the remainder of the roster but my bet is the "big names" who are the FA's won't be on it.

For comparison sake, look at the 04-05 season. Record 26-56
7 man rotation
Boozer 34 min 18 pts.
Harpring 33 min 14 pts.
AK 33 min 15 pts.
Okur 28 min 13 pts.
Bell 28 min 12 pts.
McLeod 26 min 8 pts.
Arroyo 25 min 8 pts.
Remainder of players
Giricek, Eisley, Collins, Snyder, Humphries, Lopez, Borchardt
Coach - Sloane

Last year the Jazz won 43 games and it looks like much of that offense will be gone. TBD.
Our young core has a bright future but is still "young".
Last year's numbers = ? this year.
Favors 23 min 9 pts.
Hayward 29 min 14 pts.
Burks 18 min 7 pts.
Kanter 15 min 7 pts.
Burke - Rookie
Evans, Murphy, Marvin & ????
Coach - Corbin

Unless the FO pulls of some magic I will stand by my prediction of under 25. And yes, I will remember this post and come back to accept my rewards or eat my words at the end of the season... And get ready for the Wiggins sweepstakes.

Can't go by just the averages, GoBolts. The main reason the Jazz were so bad in '04/'05 were the injuries to Boozer and AK. It would likely take <20 wins to be involved in the Wiggins/Parker sweepstakes.

As I said, "for comparison sake" and that means as a lineup comparison. Averages certainly factor as probability vs the law of averages will tell us that this new core roster will most likely perform along a linear function, skill/experience/minutes. If that is translated to our roster and minutes are projected this team will perform below the 04-05 team. Of course there will be "outliers" ie one or two player will play above the projection and one or two will perform below. Also, there will be injuries as there most always are. I understand this is a "FAN" page so most people here will view the team they root for not with realistic expectations but with hopeful expectations. This is normal. Bottom line, I stick to my prediction of less than 25 wins but I am "hopeful" for the future (and this is why I continue to shell out a lot of $$ for too many season tickets each year).

A starting five of Favors-Kanter-Hayward-Burks-Burke bring you 35 wins this season but they will make the Playoffs the year after. I'm all for starting all of our young guys. If the Jazz bring back many veterans and start some of them, we will barely miss the Playoffs again. I hope that the Jazz finally understand that playing our young players is our only chance to improve.
