Like not posting spoilers in thread titles. But I wouldn't expect you to agree with that.

This is the internet, right after the fight pictures of Pacquiao getting knocked out were ALL over the internet seconds after it happened. From MSN, ESPN, CNN etc.............. Literally EVERYWHERE.

It just makes no sense that if you did't want to know the results of one of the biggest sporting events of the year you would log on to the internet right after the event.

I have never in my life seen someone use a spoiler alert for a sporting event.

Like, never.

I have, once.

GF has been a cool dude on here so I suspect he's having a bad day. I'm not even saying his suggestion is a bad one, but the vitriol is quite .. unreal.

I'm being unreasonable.

I'll stay off Jazzfanz.

Have a nice life everybody.

I can see where GameFace would be bugged, cuz I watch sports after the fact all the time. Thing is, there wasn't a thread about the fight, and if Pacquiao doesn't get knocked out, there never would've been.

So, the thread really is about Pac Man getting knocked out. It's not about the fight. The fight itself wasn't thread worthy, just the knockout.

If there was already a fight thread, then Beantown mad another thread about the Knockout I could kinda see getting mad about it, but as it stands no way.

I agree that having the results in the title wasn't the best of ideas. But if you are on the internet and didn't want to know the results of the fight......well than that was a much worse idea.

dont listen to him bro it was THE best idea. i have not heard an idea better than that bro. ever. in life. keep up the good, i mean, best work.

Not only would you have to stay away from the net, but pretty much everything. I don't do the non-live sports thing, if I miss....I miss....so I can't relate. But I did get some, "Did you just see that ****?" texts last night and already ran into some people today that were talking about it so I wouldn't clue how to avoid it.

agreed. some people just live inside a bubble and cant relate to this line of thinking tho. racialists, for example. also: bears during hibernation.

As I said in an earlier post, I think GF's suggestion wasn't a bad one .. but I think he was a bit more mad about it than is reasonable, imo.

I'd really like to see people lay off him, if possible. I've made thousands of posts that are questionable and many times it's because of a bad day.

Would love to see us give GF that respect.

Did you order the PPV and Tivo it?

I've actually done that before. Tivo'd a PPV fight and watched it after a Utes game.

I always record ppv events when i get them and watch them later so i can fast forward through all the bs and get to the actual event.

The inability to get a Mayweather/Pac-Man fight has turned me off boxing. That is the only fight I have any interest in watching. Until that happens I will stick with the UFC.

1. Boxing's structure sucks. Would love for it to have a UFC structure and then it would rule all sports.

2. I Tivo sports events all the time. Great way to cut through all the commericals and crap. But when I do that I make sure I don't get online or have access to anything that might spoil it. Beantown is a moron but not at fault in this context.

3. Free UFC card was great!
