Parker vs Gordon video analysis. Must watch

Draftexpress does good job as always looking into that matchup. After watching it is obvious if Parker is gone Gordon must be our pick. No other way around.

Did Parker attempt to assassinate the President or something? Why is there a concern on "IF" Parker is available at 5? I've seen several threads acting as if there's a chance Parker falls to 5. Folks, there's a better chance of Malone becoming besties with MJ and becoming a pro golfer and corporate speaker than Parker dropping to 5.

He won't be around at 5! The jazz have a better chance of signing Lebron than Parker falling to 5

The question will be between Gordon, Vonleh, and Smart. Who should we take at 5? I'd take Gordon or maybe maybe MAYBE smart. Vonleh is out of the question. Gordon is the superior prospect out of the 3. And Parker is the superior prospect of anyone in this draft other than Wiggins.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a top 4 so solidified. The top 3 are rock solid (Embiid, Wiggins, and Parker).

The video shows us basically what we already knew. Its kinda cool to watch it. But doesn't it reinforce our previously held beliefs?

Parker is damn good. Gordon is damn athletic. Parker can be a #1 offensive option and scoring machine. Gordon can do a bunch of lil role player things. Parker is the superior prospect and will be drafted top 3 for a reason. Parker will be drafted after, for a reason (psssss. He isn't as good of a prospect as Parker).

If Parker falls it will be because he is a vertically challenged tweener who won't be able to guard anybody at the next level. And unless Gordon learns to shoot Vonleh is a better prospect, IMO. I love Gordon's athleticism, but don't see how he's anything more than a solid role player if he can't space the floor (42.2 FT% doesn't give me a lot of hope).

Parker is going to be gone top 3. And probably top 2. There's absolutely no way Parker doesn't go before we pick.

I really do think we're letting things go to our minds. Parker was the most dominate college player all year long and easily the best offensive prospect since Lebron James. The man will come in and average 20 pts from day 1. He will win rookie of the year. The only question is 5 years from now who's better, Wiggins (who has a higher ceiling) or Parker (who already has a refined offensive game)?

This is why so many of us wanted the tank. We embraced the tank over winning a few extra games with vets who won't even be here next year. Had we scored Parker, he immediately would become our best player. Something to build on.

Before this team can even think of competing, we need to get ourselves our Malone, MJ, Barkley, Dream, shaq, Kobe, Flash, Lebron, etc. somebody we can run our offense through.

Instead, we keep trying to "build" on Bruss, Kukoc, Doug Christie, Matrix, Dfish, Mario Ellie, Prince, etc. nice role players who cannot consistently carry a team. As much as we want to make Burks, Favors, and Hayward our "franchise players" they just aren't good enough. Gordon is no different. A nice piece. But we'll have to score big next year in the lotto if we ever hope to get out of this cycle and culture of losing.

Everyone acts like he has no shot whatsoever because he has a hard time with free throws. Which is not true. Your not going to confuse him with Ray Allen anytime soon, but he can make a wide open jump shot.

I agree with all of this..

Gordon has to be our pick at 5 if the assumed top4 go in the top 4.

I hope to god we don't be Vonleh. He may be alright, but we don't need another project 4.

Gordon at least has the chance to fill our 3 spot. I'm not crazy about his shooting either. We just have to hope can improve it. Vonleh or Randle are going to be draining 3's and playing the sf spot for us anyways. We will just have to make a trade at some point. Gordon's ceiling is also higher than Vonleh or Randle imo. I like Smart, but again, we already have that spot filled.

Generally, I say take BPA too. But it's not clear who is BPA between Vonleh, Smart, Gordon, and Randle. So just try to fill need and fit for the team. We want to get better defensively, and Gordon fills that role.

I'd rather have him not shooting with those percentages. We don't want a Josh Smith type of player who thinks he can make all of those shots.

I'm not hung up, I just think it's an important indicator. Name some players in the NBA who shoot low 40's from the free throw line but consistently knock down 3 PT shots. He may well turn out to be the best of the second group, but I think his shooting is a legitimate concern.

Drawing up scenarios of Smart and Exum going before Parker would be like drawing up scenarios of Kirk Hinrich and Chris Kaman going ahead of Lebron James or Melo in the 2003 draft.
