Paul Calls Out Santorum

I feel like if Ron Paul got any kind of national publicity he would have a chance, but none of the talking heads on Fox, NBC, etc. hardly ever cover him or promote him.

Actually I do not think he would. His foreign policy is to much for most to accept. I'd love to see Paul get a domestic cabinet position.

Ron Paul's domestic policy is even more absurd than his foreign. Adopt what he wants and you might as well call up China, Japan, Great Brittan, and Russia, telling them you want to be someone's bitch and are currently fielding protection offers. They would suck the gold out and eat our economy for breakfast, just as happened every time in the past. His archaic barter nonsense didn't work 200 years ago when it took 3 months to ship from port to port. Who thinks it wouldn't be orders of magnitude more disastrous in the modern globalized age? Keep up with the times, eh cave boy Paul? Either that or you better get used to an endless depression cycle. Good luck protecting liberty against China or Russia with a 17th century economy when they are playing with modern toys. This isn't even cowboys and indians. It's slingshots and atlatl's against tanks and laser guided missiles on the back of sharks.

Ron Paul's gold worship is a sellout to this free nation and his own claims to liberty anyway. It's not good enough for Ron Paul and his bots that the government issue a medium of exchange. No, Paul is demanding we the people provide a government guarantee on the value of his accumulated wealth. Paul is demanding a subsidy; a government paid for insurance policy. That's anathema to his entire platform.

If it wasn't for keeping the other candidates honest, I'd say bye-bye kook.

I actually like the basic tennant of his domestic stance. Government needs to back out of our private lives. But yes Ron Paul unfortunatly would be a disaster. To bad because he is the only one that I feel is telling the truth on anything and has any intergrity.

His first and only act would be to eliminate whichever department he was assigned to.

I love it, Paul tells the truth and has fantastic insight...but the conclusions he draws are ridiculous and disastrous.

Maybe people just don't want to accept his conclusions even though they can't argue with his reasoning.

This is pretty much why I'm voting for him. I feel it's kind of like the Jazz: If we put in another VET (Romney, Newt, Rick, Obama) we're just going to stagnate. Sure, we might make the playoffs, but it will be more of the same. The only problem is that there is quite a bit more at stake here. This country needs a good swift kick in the ***, and Mr. Paul is just the guy to do it. Maybe it will be a four year disaster, but at least then the country will be out of its Ty Corbin/Sloan rut, and it can have a fresh start.

The thing people seem to forget during a presidential election is that the president in not Emperor/Dictator. They really can't do a tenth of what they want to do, and claim they're going to do

Ron Paul does not condone police abuse of tasers. He wants to kick you in the butt.

Don't get me wrong on Paul. I think the guy has a lot of integrity and his heart is in the right place. His intent is for the good of the nation, not himself. Hell, he knows he has no shot at winning and is only doing this to pump a message. His head, on the other hand, is filled with condensed liquid horse crap and disastrously misguided.

Still though, I'd probably also vote for the guy just to give the nation a square kick in the crotch (and because integrity > big lie-deas). I would have voted him last time if he were on the ballot.

Ron Paul has acquired a great deal of political capital over the last 5 or 6 years and has chaired some committees on monetary policy in congress - and he's done pretty much zero.

The guy might sing a good tune but at the end of the day he's just another chirping bird.

Just because you're the chairman of a committee doesn't mean that what you say goes. As far as I know, it's still a majority rules system, and just like the President, a chairman can't do anything without support.

Yeah I think Santorum really hurt his chances with the attacks from Paul and his own talk about toeing the party line and voting for things he did not agree with. People are pissed with DC and showing that you are a pay to play politician is exactly what they (the voters in a GOP primary election) do not want.

Mitt Romney is the only candidate who is not a career Washington insider.

The only one still left anyways. I still wish more people had the integrity and honesty of Paul though. I feel like Obama, Romney, Gingrich and Santorum would sell me their mother if it got them my vote.
