Rudy should help Don through slump. If Don is worried about getting the ball far away from the basket, then Rudy should say - don't worry I will get it back to you, we just need to create chaos against the defense so that it opens the offense which will in most cases end up being you.

Rudy owes that dude literally nothing.

Spida has 3.4 million followers on Instagram. That's an insane amount. We will never have a player as popular as Donovan on this team again. Frankly, it is not the playoffs yet so I don't care too strongly about these numbers. Just turn it around in the playoffs and nobody will care.
Some people on here will spew their hatred no matter what. He could lead us to the finals this year and people would still be creating lies about him.

It's the unfortunate reality of little ***** who just create negativity every single day of their sad lives.

Just finished reading 8 pages, was very entertaining. LoPo joining me in the dark side. He’s calling everyone on jazzfanz morons. I’m on record more than I can count including me that y’all are all idiots, so that also means yer a moron to, I am Sith Lord to you my apprentice.
Welp, you two voluntarily continue to hang out with a group of morons....so it doesn't say much about both of you.

The Jazz would have to be nuts to trade Rudy to Golden State. In fact, they'd have to be nuts to trade him at all IMO.

The problem with trading Rudy is if you do it you create a juggernaut somewhere... if you do it out west to GS, Memphis, or Dallas then you may as well trade Donovan too. You think he will be excited about the picks or young players you get in the deal while Rudy is on the title favorite.

Trade both or trade neither.

If you traded both a package of Kuminga, Wiseman, Moody, Wiggins and picks is actually pretty good to kickoff a rebuild. If anything you can leverage that offer to get more elsewhere.

Yep, that's been my thinking too... both or neither. It will be really hard to keep competitive and replace either of them quickly enough. In the case of keeping Mitchell - we don't have enough time to convince Mitchell to stay - he will either ask out or just leave in FA when we are not competitive enough without Rudy. In case of keeping Rudy - we won't have enough time to get great offensive initiator and get him to top level before Rudy's prime is over. I'd be tempted to just keep both and try to do moves around them so I can use their window.

But if we have any indication that Mitchell might ask out... I think I'd rather us just start over and do Gobert a solid and send him somewhere where he can compete. BTW I wouldn't care if I'm making a Western Conference team stronger in the short-to-medium term. We will be rebuilding during that period so who cares...

I wouldn’t care, in the event that Gobert was traded, if he stayed in the western conference. It would be like the curse of the Bambino and I’d hope that everyone from the ownership, to the FO, to the coaching staff, and at least one of the players, would have to have their nose right above their own ****, as publicly as possible, as long as was necessary.

I wouldn't care either... if we were rebuilding. If we are trying to appease Donovan making another team the favorite while he leads a .500 team would lead to him quickly asking out.

I am excited for this series a bit regardless of outcome. If they overcome the somewhat healthy Mavs then maybe they can be the team we thought they were.... if they flame out its a strong message that its time. Management won't be as bold as I would be but the message will be sent.

When can we offer Mitchell an extension? After next season I think? I wouldn't be doing anything to appease a diva who's not committed to the team. I would offer him the max extension with no player options and if he doesn't accept, I'm shipping him away.

He's under contract for 3 more years... he has a player option for year 4. We can offer an extension end of next year to give him two more years. He can say no and it might be the right business decision... so it won't give you any impression on whether he stays or not. We still have lots of time to get value for him. My issue with waiting is you could also get value for all the non-Rudy and non-Donovan parts as well and not waste a year spinning your wheels.
