Planning on moving to SLC. Need helpful advice.

The inversion/air quality sucks ***. Easily the worst thing about slc to me.

Ya it takes its toll on your health for sure. It's the reason I ever even consider moving away.

I do miss it, my wife would be open to St. George, Heber or Park City. Problem is the first city has no jobs and the other two the commute would be a bitch.

I agree with this assessment. I have family in Texas, and they make more money and pay less for houses than we do here. Utah in general is really competitive.

Just get a job that lets you work from home at least half the time. I have a buddy who just moved to St. George, and only comes up to SLC once a month to check in at work. He loves it. I know it's not for everyone, and not every job will let you do that, but it would pretty awesome to live in one of those areas. Of course, Heber can get an inversion too, but not nearly as bad as SLC

That's a great setup. I would love to live in St. George.
 
Damn, I was really looking forward to being like a season ticket holder and going to a lot of Jazz games. I may just move to Colorado so I don't have to pay an arm and a leg for a round trip flight. I have horrible allergies and air quality, is probably one of those things I need to be concerned about majorly. I'm not anywhere set to move yet. I need about 8 months for this to happen.
