We are at the all star break so i figure this is a good time to evaluate our rosters individual production versus our own expectations for each of them.
Trey Burke: I thought he would be a below average to average caliber starting point guard and when he first came back from injury i thought he was going to exceed my expectations by quite a bit, but recently has come back down to right about what i expected. Grade B.
Gordon Hayward: I thought he is a decent starting player for most teams, right around the 3rd or 4th best player in a starting lineup, and he has been a little bit worse than i expected but not by much. He is passing, defending and rebounding pretty well and struggling shooting wise due to his role. Grade C
RJ: I thought he was done and he has shown that he has quite a bit of gas left in the tank. Grade A-
Marvin: After last season i thought he was pretty bad and he has found his niche in the league as a stretch four and has flourished in that role. Grade B+
Favors: I expected quite a bit more from him and thought his contract was a steal. He is scoring less than i had hoped, rebounding less, and blocking less shots than i exptected.... my expectation were probably way too high. Grade: C-
Alec Burks: I thought he would be a good starter if given the minutes and opportunities and he is averaging right about what i expected across the board and percentage wise as well. Grade B
Jeremy evans: I always thought he was a rotation player and could have a good impact on the team but his jumpshot has been better than i thought it would be. Grade B+
Enes Kanter: I thought he would lead the team in scoring and rebounding and play ok defense. Biggest disappointment for me, but my expectations were probably way too high for both kanter and favors. Grade D
Rudy Gobert: He is about what i expected. A tall dude who blocks and alters shots and does little else. I have been impressed with his attitude and how he seems to have some "nastiness". Grade B
Diante Garrett: I thought he would be horrible and had really low expectations of him. Now i think he will stick in the nba and could be a solid backup for us for years to come. Grade A
Corbin i give a C grade.
