I'm sure if they call someone a racially charged epithet they would. If they just propose ideas in a discussion or argument then why would they get infracted?

I have rarely seen racially charged epithets on internet outside bubble communities such as 4chan or so. Racism is not just few banned words, though. There are equally disturbing things which are clearly mis/disinformation. Those are just more dangerous than someone brandishing his/her racism. We can't allow post-truth to fester on this site because it's corroding.

Kind of like how you assumed what a bunch of asterisks meant when they can literally mean anything.

Anything to defend the board's clown though. He's what keeps JFC afloat.

Sir, I myself work in the black community. I’m the guy (among others) breaking down the “racial stereotypes” about how white people are. I’ve given out suits, shoes, pants, shirts, jackets, some my own, some picked up at Goodwill (I’m not rich). A few of them still only say hello when other black folks aren’t around (including some teachers).

In my experience, black Americans are incredibly cliquish. Not near so much for immigrants from Africa, Cuba, Jamaica etc., from my experience. That being said, I’ve been to parties where I was the only non black. I’ve had and continue to have tons of friends (primarily tennis related now) of the Black persuasion.

When I was in college I’m one of the kids that imposed on my parent’s Christian ethic so that a Nigerian exchange student had a place to go for the holidays. I once gave a total stranger (big muscular fella) a ride home from a store I was shopping in because he was loaded up with can goods and on the bus. Turns out he was a born again Christian that had played football for U of U then fallen into the life of drugs, alcohol and fast women.

Also one time before cell phones and no buses running on a Sunday, and nothing open, my car broke down in a black neighborhood. A nice but rough looking man in the 711 offered a ride home. On the ride home he gave me his name and I found out that he was a professional boxer. I offered to pay but he refused to take a dime. Afterward I made some phone calls and there was a nice story printed up in the local sports page about this extraordinarily kind Black boxer.

I married my wife to save her from deportation when I was unemployed and out of a career. That was 30 years ago and to this day we’ve never taken a penny of Federal assistance.

People are all the same in my book they just all look different. I’ve always been an idealist and a free thinker. Variety is the spice of life and I’ve always enjoyed people of all racial and ethnic persuasions, but I pull away from any groups of people that have exclusionary agendas.

I'm going to read your full response in a second. Let me start by telling you that I never attacked you or questioned your character and I never called you a racist. Edit: eh, well I sort of did when I specifically said that based on your statement "you think" there's a difference between black people and white people. I don't really know what you think and that was a sloppy way for me to express my impression of your post.

By simply saying "hey guys, look at these stats that show black people commit a hugely disproportionate number of murders and violent crimes. Humm. How about that?" You are putting forth an argument that is based on racial differences. You are presenting facts that cannot be taken to mean anything other than black people commit more crimes essentially because they are black, unless you also add some context to the information you're presenting, which you didn't really do. What you did do is cap off your "black people are more criminal than others" stats with an odd "white men kill themselves way more often than other people."

So I'll read your full reply now, but you might want to actually read what I responded to you with minus the triggered defensive emotions.

If your response above is going to essentially amount to "I have black friends" then I'll want a refund on my time.

PS Fact check please! Percentage of people who commit homicides is not even close to being the same for both races. Blacks make up just over 13% of the population and account for nearly half of all murders in this country. This is based on Bureau of Justice statistics. Regarding homicide, in 2008 offending rate for blacks was seven time higher than whites and victimization rate was six times higher. In 2013 the FBI has black criminals carrying out 38% of all murders in this country.

Whites do lead in one category however. White men commit 74% of all suicides in this country. But hey we're devils right, I guess we've earned the hatred and imposed guilt by the color of our skin. Idiot!

So let me give you the opportunity to explain what significance your stats have? What do they teach us in the context of this discussion?

For instance, I'd like to see stats for the crime rate amongst impoverished inner city white people vs the average white population. Do you think you might find some of the same exact skewed numbers that indicate that there's something different about "poor white trash" that live in poor urban areas?

I mean you're the one that wanted to make sure this post wasn't ignored by quoting it and challenging us to respond to it. I told you exactly what I made of it and you want on a multi-paragraph rant about "I'm nice to black people, I have black friends I've gone to black people parties as the only non-black person." **** man, that was you're response?

Sounds like a great justification to shut down thoughts you don't like.

If you feel like something is "post-truth" by all means call them out on it. Eventually when it is called out enough that person isn't taken seriously. Like this one poster from the Netherlands.
