What's new

Playing GM while we all wait for Dec. 9...

Kanter is supposed to do the things that Okafor does, only with a bit more offense and a bit less defense. Kanter costs a lot less and he's not as "raw" as people think.

Ariza had one good year playing of Kobe and got paid well. I'm not sure he's an upgrade from CJ Miles.

Jarret Jack isn't going to start, and I'm not entirely sure he's much better than Earl Watson, but I haven't watched him much. He's bounced around the league.

This trade is a non-starter for me.

Utah - Trades nobody, gets nobody back, signs nobodies. Sucks this year and gets a very good draft pick.

Golden State- Makes illogical trades, sucks this year, but not too much. Gives Utah a good draft pick.

I would only add that they do get rid of any black holes.

I've heard Collins rave about his PG. I don't think we can pry him away. Maybe.
+ GS pick????????

I'm getting desperate. Holiday looks like the perfect PG for this rebuild (very nice physical profile, no real weakness to his game, doesn't have to handle the ball in order to be effective, can space the floor, productive but doesn't demand possessions, uses possessions well, YOUNG).

He'll be a top 10 PG before too long.

" Jazz trade
Okur
Jazz get
2012 Houston 1st
Petro
Farmar "

'jazzfan1971', that actually makes a lot of sense. This gives us a couple decent backups and another mid-to-late #1 next year, while giving up little.
I know Petro ain't shown much, but probably better than Fes was and he is only 25. 7' and more mobile than Fes. Farmar would be an upgrade as a b/u PG, and is younger than Watson...

I know a 4-team trade is a no-team trade but how about this?
https://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=734u22x

Utah: Curry/Posey (trades glut of bigs for PG swap, & save all of Al's contract)
Indy: Scola/Harris/CBell (imo.. Scola + Hibbert is a nice FC, Harris is a more experience ver of Collison, & this gives George more PT)
GS: Granger/Collison (Collison can push the court w/ Ellis & it finally gives them a wing they need. Amnesty Biendris & push for Nene would make em scary)
HOU: Jefferson (McHale gets is protege back)

Curry / Watson / (FA)
Burks / Bell
Hayward / CJ / Posey
Favors / Millsap / Evans
Memo / Kanter / (FA)

* BTW - Hollinger's Analysis gives INDY -9 but it predicted a "no change" when I first tried this. Also, it doesn't factor Paul George's emergence from his playoff performance & if needed, I guess we can give Indy our later of ours or GS's 2012 #1.

Wow.. that's good stuff.. can't think of any team that wouldn't go for it .. except may be GS..
