even with that, we're still one defender shy of a good-to-elite level perimeter defense. We need an additional player on Hayward's level.

There have been rumors that Chicago is willing to move Jimmy Butler.

We all love Hood, and he should continue to improve, but offering him (and additional assets, obvi) for Butler might be too good to pass up, if Chicago is really interested in moving him. A Butler/Hayward tandem on the wings would be tantalizing.
Also, look at this tidbit from Butler:
"But I also believe that we probably have to be coached a lot harder at times. I'm sorry. I know Fred's a laid-back guy and I really respect him for that, but when guys aren't doing what they're supposed to do, you got to get on guys. Myself included. You got to do what you're supposed to do when you're out there playing basketball."
I think he'd love Snyder.
