I said "before GS". They are unique no doubt but have also had a tonne of luck in their runs and some very special circumstances to make it possible.

Point is shooters get cold. Imo you still need someone who can get you points in the post.

I know you said before GS. I just think that you cant cant omit that part of it. Its sort of a contradicting point. You cant point out that a jump shooting has problems, and here is an example, while in that same example there is proof that a jump shooting team does work.

Im talking pre GS era, whats happened since is irrelevant to the point I was making. The league has just followed the GS model now but Ive always thought the way to beat them was 2 dominant bigs and thats why Ive been high on the Rudy/Favs combo.

But then they got Durant so **** knows...
Maybe theyve just broken the mold now.

yeah feels like this year was their one big shot and they were firing on only 3 cylinders at the end. Bummer.

This isnt my opinion. Pre GS the consensus was jump shooting teams dont win championships.

Watching Houston tonight was why that train of thought existed.

I feel like Boston was a jump shooting team with Ray Allen pierce and kg. They won a chip pre GS.

Rockets did manage to get something out of this game. New playoff record, 27 straight missed threes. 7-44. Wow! I’m pretty impressed that as terrible as they shot that this wasn’t a bigger blowout.
