Please fire Snyder and get a real coach in the summer

Boy, you sure aren't up on current events. Haven't you heard that this guy is our coach for next season?

Yup, Phil Jackson is the New York Knicks head coach starting this summer. He will be just doing home games and close road games (Boston, Philly, Brooklyn), but 50 games a year is enough to make us the odds on favorites to win it all. Plus every big free agent will want to come here and play for Phil. Dynasty. Bulls won six with Phil, Lakers won five with Phil...Knicks are looking at nine.

No joke, word is Phil will be head coach for all practices and game coach for all home games.

Phil would find it mighty difficult to win if he does coach without having either Michael or Kobe

Rule in basketball is a good coach is capable of getting his team five wins.

Now you watch the Jazz season more than I do. Ask yourself, did Quin get this Jazz team five wins they shouldn't have had? I know last night against the Cavs that win was a coach's win. Come up with four more examples and you'll see that you have a fine coach in Quin Snyder.
Did you just make that one up?
Pretty sure the players had a LOT to do with the win. What if Hood isn't making his shots? Or Lyles doesn't come in and have his best game of the year? What if Lebron and Kyrie hit a few they normally make?

Quin/Jazz has won quite a few first and third quarters this season, but has such a crappy bench that the Jazz have been humiliated in the second and fourth when the subs enter. NO coach is going to win games with Johnson, Ingles, Burke, Booker, Withey, Pleiss, etc. Burke is our 6th man. Seriously? Withey is perhaps serviceable for 10 mins/per. Booker has perhaps one passable game out of every ten. The rest are scrubs. Even Lyles has been pretty underwhelming until last night. Give Quin Burks, Exum and another 1-2 solid backups and it will be amazing how intelligent he suddenly becomes. And give him a healthy or motivated Gobert - whatever the hell is wrong with Rudy.

Uhh, did you ever play sports?

Basketball and hockey -- good coach gets you five wins.
Football -- good coach can get you two.
Baseball -- top coach wins 10 games a season for his team.

That's all common knowledge. been that way for years. All athletes know it.

Jazz players shot 48% from field, 85% from charity stripe last night. That's extraordinary? That's "a LOT to do with the win"?
Nope, when you are shooting just at league average then the coach's moves, plays, demeanor, time outs, subs...comes into play if you win that game.

Cleveland shot 40%/63%. Maybe there's more to the "Jazz didn't win; Cleveland lost" argument than we want to admit. Jazz players outplayed Cleveland. Plain and simple. Or maybe Quin DID outcoach Lue. On the other hand, in the Jazz' last loss, they were out shot 57% to 40%. When your players shoot better than the opposing team does, it makes you a better coach.

Case in point is Walton and Kerr. Is Walton as good as Kerr? The W's record was just as good with him on the bench. Kerr's team has suffered a couple of embarrassing losses with him in charge. Fire Kerr and keep Walton?

Once again. **** our stupid coach. Jazz up 3 with 20 seconds to go, and what does he do? Does he foul, therefore preventing a 3? Does he instruct his players to give up a layup if need be, but guard the three? Nope, he draws up a defensive setup to give up a three, give up an offensive rebound, then give up another 3.

**** him and all of you idiots who support him. Bring back Jerry Sloan. I don't care how senile or demented he is.

Yeah, blame the coach for losing in overtime to the best team in NBA history without his best big when the team shoots 13/29 from the line.

Unbelievable.

I blame the coach for not fouling before the best three point shooting team in the NBA has a chance to tie the game. I also blame him for drawing up a play for the win that ends up with Shelvin Mack trying to shoot over Draymond Green while falling to the side.

This is basic basketball. Foul when up 3. Draw up a play for one of your star players.

Brilliant idea. Foul the best FT shooter in the NBA and turn it into an FT shooting contest when our team was shooting below 50% for the game. The only thing that would've accomplished is giving the Warriors the ball down 1 or 2 instead of 3.

Thank God you aren't the coach.

You have no clue what he instructed players to do and what plays he designed. Jazz guarded that last play great, they just didn't get the rebound and Ingles chose to run out for some stupid reason instead of staying to help rebound and guard. That last shot is all on Ingles. The Jazz did draw up a play for our star player Hayward, he chose to pass it to Mack who he thought was open. Mack drove no where, players make mistakes. Like missing free throws, unless you think Snyder instructed them to miss FTs to keep it close.

Also if you foul in that situation and are up 1 then GS fouls your team and gets the ball right back. If your a coach and your team cant make a free throw to save their lives in the fourth you dont turn it into a free throw game and hope you out shoot them. There are some things to criticize our Coach over but this isnt one. This is being pot calling a kettle black.

Who cares about missing free throws? Each free throw is its own individual event and missed free throws have no bearing on whether you will hit the next one or not. That many missed FTs are a statistical aberration(since we know the Jazz shoot them at 75% for the season) that has to correct itself. It's like flipping a coin heads 10 times and then not flipping again because it's going to surely come up heads again.

How can you possibly argue that the Warriors, the best shooting team in the league, were more likely to miss their shots than the Jazz were to make free throws? What kind of a ****ed up logic is that?
