Do you think quin will go with Hayward, ingles, hood as the clear choice like you said?

Actually, I see that as a hard lineup to play. Hood is too raw still. Hayward, Ingles, Burks might be the smoother choice for a while.

PG - Hayward
SG - Burks
SF - Hood
PF - Favors
C - Gobert


I think Hayward is the best option out of all the wings to run the point. He is just flat out better than anyone else on both sides of the ball. He doesn't need to be a standard point either. Hood and Burks can share the duties. But I'd have him guard the point guard's though.

Having Hood and Hayward on the court with Burks would be best. He need shooters around him.

Also, have Favors shoot threes.

I don't want Hayward guarding PG's simply because I think that gets him in foul trouble quite often. We need Hayward we don't want him in foul trouble.

Perhaps. I'm just personally not a fan of him. Hopefully he can turn me into a fan of him this year but I do think there are better options. And I still believe he is mainly on the team for the benefit of Dante, not for his all around talent level.

FWIW they re-signed him after Dante got hurt for the year. So I doubt that is how the Jazz see him.

I think Ingles is a rotation player on any team he would be on. His ball movement and grittiness make him a valuable player to have on the court.

I don't want Lillard on this team, He's a better version of Trey Burke. Shoot first and very little to no defense. I'd love Mike Conley.

Just because Hayward would be a primary ball handler doesn't mean he would have to guard opposing PGs..

In the post I quoted he wanted him to guard the opponent PG. FWIW I like the idea of Hood, Burks and Hayward on the court together, at least a little bit. Mostly because I think Trey Burke is horrible with the other starters. I'm sick of watching Burke dribble for 20 sec. then throw up a bad shot while Favors, Hood, and Hayward are not getting the ball.

Oops you're right I missed that. Yeah I agree with you, Burke has been a nightmare.

People who cry about a previous neg amuse me. Just take the neg and accept it.

Burks isn't a PG though at all. Hayward makes for a better PG on the offensive end by far, and is the role he played last year. On offensive would you say Hayward played the PG or Exum? I would say Hayward's style more closely resembled that of a PG. Hayward can handle the responsibility of creating for himself and others in equal opportunities more so than Burks can. I use to think it was because Hayward had better vision (which he still does but the gap isn't as big as it use to be) but now I think it's because Hayward can break a defense down in more ways than Burks.

Defensively neither works, but I guess Burks has more potential on that end vs. PGs.
