PLS Stop Comparison with Paul George

George is a better player than Hayward...who cares. No sense crying over spilled milk. Nothing we can do about it now.

The fact he grew two inches after being drafted helps me cope with this. If we had drafted him, Ty wouldn't have let him grow 2 inches. FACT

While everyone is too busy talking about George we all forget how these teams all have coaches. We do not. Quite honestly, we could have lebron on our team and we would still be in the lottery.

We need a coach that quite honestly demands and doesn't just cheerlead. Someone who can develop a system and get his players to buy into it. These playoffs have showed me how ill-conceived our systems are, how poorly managed our games are, and how lazy/no effort our team has become. I haven't seen the jazz play half as hard as most of these teams in the playoffs have. The only team to be as poorly coached and lackadaisical with their effort were the nets. What is PJ Carlismo doing now???

Agreed. Watching the PO does show how poor our coaching is. And it also shows how poor how FO strategy was this year. Shoulda traded Al and/or Sap and got something for them. Instead, they believed in fools gold.

Everyone shut up about the Jazz making a mistake on draft night. So did the other teams that drafted ahead of the Jazz. Hindsight bitches.

If we want to complain that we drafted a dud that is fine. But Hayward is a good player even though Corbin won't let the offense run through him. Which we wasted 3 years of development not letting him practice that.
1 - Wizards - John Wall
2 - Philly - Evan Turner
3 - New Jersey - Derrick Favors
4 - Wolves - Wesley Johnson
5 - Kings - DeMarcus Cousins
6 - Golden State Warriors - Ekpe Udoh
7 - Detroit Pistons - Greg Monroe
8 - Los Angeles Clippers - Al-Farouq Aminu

I would take Hayward over all of these wing players and most of the big men also. We could of wasted a pick on Wesley Johnson or Aminu.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hayward is the better player long term. If you look at Haywards stats per 36 compared to Paul George who played 37 minutes a game it is not a big difference.

FG% - Hayward wins
3P% - Hayward wins
FT% - Hayward wins (And shoots more per game)
Rebounding - Paul George wins
Assists - Paul George wins
Blocks - About the same
steals - Paul George wins
Turnovers - Hayward

Now this is Gordon Hayward playing with Mo Williams and Al Jefferson who just jack ups shots. They actually play team ball on the Pacers. They run the offense through him. And everyone seems to be unselfish on the team. And better defenders to set up the offense.

Everyone here is going to be eating crow next year when he gets the same minutes and Favors and Kanter are manning the paint, making offensive transitions easier for Hayward and Burks because the defensive stops will be there.

Put things in perspective please.

agree on everything except the bolded part.
next yearss team is still coached by corbin so corbin.

I can't even begin to explain how wrong you are. First we got blown out by NY with no Mello. We also struggled against Atlanta. Remember when we made Harris look like a HOF pg. Also there defense is light years ahead of ours it's not even funny.
talentwise in my humble opinion pacers aint better than jazz.
jazz might be better but it might just be me being a homer.

pacers are well coached.
jazz are coached by a retard with the basketball iq of a sewerrat

1320 commented on a few stats re Hay/George. Their first two years they were about equal on minutes, ppg, and games started. Last year they diverged as George's minutes went up quite a bit while Hay's went down a bit. The issue: picking up Marvin and being "forced" to play. I would also add that early in the season when Hay started, he had no impact because of alfense.

No.
The difference is the Pacers "superstar" Danny Granger was out the entire year.
George was then put into that position.

The minute your comments start making sense.... not only punctuation-wise, but spelling-wise is the minute I actually read said comments.

True, but that does not mean that the Jazz could not have given 37 mpg to Hay. They coulda done it if they wanted to. But no, they had to give a lot of minutes to Marvin.
