Seriously. I would be protesting in the police chief's neighborhood. Tearing down your own neighborhood does not make a lot of sense to me.

I don't have high expectations on the reliability of a site when their "EDITOR'S CHOICE" includes a piece about the New Black Panthers.
While I don't doubt the video is legitimate, there is so much separation between snippets of conversation that it's hard to tell who is being referred to by what. For all I can tell, the person who doubled back may have been the police officer, and/or "he kept coming toward him" might have been the officer approaching Brown.

Looks liek the Highway Patrol going low profile didn't work. Neither did the curfew. National Guard have been called in.
It's a shame that a group of punks and criminals had to distort, and ultimately hijack, a peaceful protest.

Generally when you get a mass of people to protest, there are not going to be good results simply due to the disorganization. The most successful protests have been those that are well organized. The problem is, especially in poverty areas, protests turn into looting, which really serves to purposes, especially when people are looting their own neighbors. There is a Sublime song regarding riots, and there is a lot of truth.
Just curious, did anyone ever see a toxicology report?
Very limited info has been released so far. Some reports that the deceased was shot 6 times though.

That is why I would like to see the toxicology report. If he was on something, he may have kept charging (assuming that is what happened). I think I read it went through the top of his skull and into his clavicle. , which could be because he was charging. If he was really standing with arms raised, I don't think that shot would be possible. If he was down on his knees, it could be possible, but from what I read no witnesses stated he was on his knees (although I have skimmed the articles so I could be wrong).

Looks like Brown just had pot in his system. It is hard to place guilt when there are conflicting accounts. However, when a surveillance video shows brown and a friend (who was a main witness to the shooting) forcefully robbing a convenience store, it is going to make me less trusting of such witness. I'm not saying I trust a cop's friend either, but it is hard to not take into account the fact they had both just forcefully robbed a store.
It is crazy that we jump to conclusions on either side. Race issues are still a very large divider, and comments and both sides of this on most news websites shows how much racism and hate are still inside people of all colors. Pretty sad.
