Daily KOS lol. Why not link the TPNN while you're at it?
Just an audio clip of Gov. Nixon bumbling like an idiot. Has nothing to do with news.

Your post seems to imply that the problems behind this anger are fixable by the time the decision on wether to charge the officer is released. We both know that the issues and reasons behind this anger will take this nation years, decades, of concerted effort to "fix". Hope it was not intentional to imply that one gov. can fix this whole issue so easily.
In the meantime the Gov. absolutely has a responsibility to protect his citizens and their property. Having the National Guard ready is absolutely the right move. These protests have to some degree been subverted by elements looking to cause trouble, on both sides of the issue. It has already proven, repeatedly, to flare up into violence. Both sides are to blame for that. SHould the Gov. ignore that very realist posibility? Pffft
This post smacks of extreme bias to me. Sad to see. Also nowhere did you point out that in that order the Ferguson police are removed froom policing any protests and riots that might occur as a result of the verdict.
I appreciate that is the decision of one governor over one incident, but it is also the continuing decision from many governors over many decades, as well.
Agreeing that the city needs to be protected from riots that are not happening right now doesn't bring out your best side.
Discounting the proven tendency of this specific case, and the general issue over the years, to escalate to violence and pan this in the fashion you have (implications of racist motivations) does not bring out yours either.
I mean the Gov. even has the FBI telling him that violence is probable.
The FBI bulletin expresses concern only over those who would exploit peaceful protests, not the masses of demonstrators who will want to legitimately, lawfully and collectively express their views on the grand jury’s decision.
You're too dense to understand what I write. Regardless, there is NO reason to assume the protesters will be violent. They never have been. They've only been attacked by the police. Those who looted weren't part of the organized protest. Gov. Nixon is a vile, racist, corrupt piece of **** and that's the bottom line.
The local authorities in Ferguson MO over-reacted and used excessive force in their dealings with what were initially peaceful protests after the killing of Michael Brown. This over-reaction by the police department is in large part responsible for creating the volatile situation that resulted.
I'm not sure what I think about the governor calling out the National Guard. I do agree with One Brow that is is a shame that the governor (and many others) takes such a dim view of his fellow citizens that all he can see is that they are likely to become violent.
Quite honestly, I haven't been following any of this to know whether there are appeals for calm or appeals to instigate mayhem in the wake of the announcement of the Grand Jury's decision. I have no idea what sort of dialogue has been taking place about any of this.
I do think, however, that if there is evidence of outside agitators in Ferguson waiting to stir up trouble, then it might be prudent to be prepared for mayhem. Hopefully the National Guard, if called into action, will not be as out-of-control as the police force was in the initial aftermath of the shooting.
