Lillard and McCollumn combined hit about 10 low percentage shots with a hand in their face. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap.
And there are no defensive stoppers in the NBA - the rules changes over the last 15-20 years have made sure of that. So don't be upset about not having one.
I agree with both of these posts.I agree, but to a point. You get better at executing difficult things when you're allowed to repeat the same process over and over. There should have been more trapping and more putting people on their ***. We were too predictable.
They should have been trapping and hedging and doubling lillard and cj.... Having said that I remember multiple times when lillard took and made threes that were 5 feet beyond the line with a hand in his face.
They were on fire but more could have been done schematically to get the ball out of their hands. And when they didn't have the ball their defender should have been practicing ball denial as well
