Whoa! I think you might be right. It definitely looks like it hit him in the shoulder, but he immediately grabs his eye without any hesitation. He's either a really good actor or it deflected off his shoulder into his eye and you just can't really tell in the video. Need some super slo mo.

Holy crap that kid had to have gotten messed up.... that collision was skull to skull and that husky(?) had a full head of steam.
