Post Your Jazz Rotation

How do you always act so butt-hurt when someone points out a valid flaw in your logic. Also incredibly hostile whenever you disagree with me specifically.

Feel free to prematurely label Kessler all you want, but I'd rather believe the headcoach than the official false prophet of JFC.

Direct quote from Hardy:
"There’s nothing right now that hits me in the face as a big limitation."

Direct quote from Cy:
You got a weird definition of hostile.

You are free to live in LaLa land, but I'm telling you what the reality is.

Try not to take it personally. That is just Cy. I have often felt the same way. As have a large number of other posters im sure. I dont think he can control it. It can feel like he has it out for you but i dont think he does, its just how he is.

Ya we don’t want that at all.
you must have misunderstood my post. it's exactly what we want to happen. those two dudes should not be in the future plans of the utah jazz and we don't want them stunting the development of young players who may very well ultimately help the jazz become contenders. the jazz with clarkson and ko are mediocre. the jazz without clarkson and ko are mediocre. but in the latter scenario, you are allowing young players to develop and hopefully become leaders of this team going forward.

Jazz should want to retain both KO and Clarkson for as long as possible as bench pieces. Both will still be quality players 3 years down the line

Either way we don't want them demanding out... maybe we move them by the deadline but this is really kind of an as-is exercise. As is JC and KO will be eating up minutes. I would like to see the young guys get a bigger workload as the season progresses. KO and JC might be around another year or two though. Not like KO gonna get a huge offer in FA at his age.... Might be a decent value if we bring him back.

The minutes for the rookies will work itself out over time. All of them are 19, not 22, so I don't think it's raises any concerns if they are sitting early. Clarkson, KO, Collins ect....These are all good players. I don't think they will all be here 2-3 years from now, but they aren't bad players to have around in the mean time. I'm still iffy on the idea of them blocking the young players' time, but like I said, I think that situation will work itself out over time. I'm not too pressed about it. I felt more strongly about this last year when I thought we might actually tank, but at this point Lauri is too good to allow that to happen.

Competition can be a positive driver for development. Removing obstacles and maximizing minutes is not guaranteed to be the best path. It depends on the individual.

I like Hardy's philosophy to make rookies earn their minutes.

And once they do, we are happy to have guys like JC and KO on our bench when our window opens just like Cy said.

I think the fact that guys like Hendricks and George made it to the nba means that they are very competitive. I also think that there would still be competition for minutes if KO and Clarkson were not on the roster. Hendricks would still be competing with collins, lauri, ochai (some small forward minutes) sensabaugh (same) and George would still be competing with sexton, tht, dunn, and ochai. They would both also be competing against their opponents and trying to be as good as possible to get their next, bigger, contract.
Me personally, I wish that we didn't re-sign clarkson (though I like him and think he is a good player) and wish that KO wasn't on the roster. It is what it is though and having them around makes us a deeper and more competitive team so im good with that since I want to make the playoffs this season. Dont think we would be much worse in the short term without either dude though and might be better in the long term. Its all good to me.

Not wanting good players on the roster is about as dumb as it gets, especially when they are as positive to your lockerroom as JC/KO are. Or as team IQ floor raising as KO is.
