His shooting is finally up this year and is doing as well, I suppose, as anyone could be expected to do on that Wizards team. Is he untouchable within the Wizards' rebuilding plans (more likely, probably), or is there enough overlap with Coulibaly that the Wizards could be persuaded to choose one over the other (my wishful thinking)?

Prolly want multiple firsts… might settle for one good one. He also might be off the market. My thought is he could be the 3 and D plus glue guy that does a little passing and ball handling.

I think he’s gettable. I do not think they are shopping him. I think that team is looking to collect flexible assets at this point. Bilal likely the only guy off the table.

Hendricks has no ability whatsoever to play like Jalen Johnson. Johnson has legit guard skills as a big wing.

Would you trade JC to the Lakers for D'Angelo "Cancer" Russell and Jalen Hood Schofino

OR

Jordan Clarkson for D'Angelo Russell + a draft pick or removing the top 4 protection on their draft pick that we have (2027)?

I don't love Russell and it could easily throw off our groove. But I like the idea of grabbing the right assets from a Clarkson trade. I think he is a valuable contract for what he is paid but I havent seen quite enough team ball to justify his position.

No, to both. We already threw them a bone with Vanderbelt and Malik.
 
Maybe if JC wants it but D'lo is a headache. To be fair, most players are a downgrade compared to JC so what do I know - nothing.

Now, if we were to use the Laker pick to trade for Luka down the line then removing the top 4 protection doubles the pick's value and maybe worth it to tolerate a year and a half of D'lo. I would ask for it to be removed and a swap but I may just settle for the top 4 removal. I would then try to rehab D'lo value and play him as a six man.and trade him in the summer.for a couple of seconds.

Top 1 protection, I would let them keep (they would want that so ask for more usable assets) but I would want the 2009 pick protected or two pick swaps.

Might be willing to make that type of deal if JC really wants to go back to LA. Ofc probably a little biased since I was part of the minority on this board that was high on JHS before the draft and still believe he could blossom into the current Dunn role by the end of his rookie contract, especially given the player development we've seen under Hardy. I'd be looking to move DLo to a 3rd team that needs scoring punch from their backcourt such as Orlando or Toronto. If JC does get dealt, would highly prefer Keyonte in that first guard off the bench role. I love JC but Keyonte does seem to defer too much at times playing with him on that 2nd unit.
 
FWIW today is 1/15 so there are a new batch of players eligible to be traded. Highly doubt there are any deals on MLK day but maybe we see a few fireworks this week around the league. Several Laker players are now eligible to be traded.
 
Well my god it was easier to root for losses when we were garbage, and boring to watch, but now all I get is pleasure and joy when I watch. I can’t root for losses when the emotions coming out of me are pleasure and joy. I feel like the the grinch when he feels the Christmas spirit and his heart grows. I don’t like these feelings make them stop!!! Besides the jazz have done too much winning to tank we may as well trade for a star now and keep winning.

Basically the tank is dead chopped off at the head the gun barrel has been tied in knots
