Humans do get over-optimistic. Very few teams just aim to make the playoffs.
But they do regardless and those are the teams we’re talking to regarding Rudy.

True, As I mentioned above, I was not assigning blame to Mitchell for that. Very few players have that sort of ability."All opponents have to do is double team him".... if that's what works, that's not Don's fault.
Agreed. No good NBA team's player should be able to be double teamed without getting severely burned.
I would say no.If Sacramento called and offered Sabonis in a package for Gobert you think we’d say no?
I would say no.
Are these the same beat writers that are talking about how Mitchell is holding the organization hostage and trying to setup leaving that you and LoPo ignore?I just think it’s hilarious that all of the major beat writers we respect on here agree on Rudy’s value as well as the reported rumored packages but there is a small army on JazzFanz who think 99% of everyone else is wrong and they are right.
I almost hope we don’t trade Gobert due to the mental breakdown a lot of you would have on here due to the package we got back not being enough in your eyes.
I mean, I’m team tank, so no. I want picks or promising rookie scale players.Sabonis, Barnes and 1st?

Aight. At least you can see that.I literally said in a different thread that he is pulling a power play right now and we will see who the Jazz hire. He’s obviously laying the groundwork to ask out if things doesn’t go the way he wants it to. That doesn’t change anything about Gobert’s situation at all.
Aight. At least you can see that.
That being said, I don’t know why we’re ****ing around with this idea of trying to salvage a ****ed situation and an old, tired roster with a toxic locker room.
I honestly think we are at 50-50 right now. Gobert is special. You can’t trade him just to trade him. If you are, you better be getting a quality return. If not, you need to keep him. Not sure how the Jazz build if they keep Gobert, but you simply can’t just give away a guy of his talent and durability.
I REALLY REALLY want us to stop giving up picks for when Donovan will 100% not be on the Jazz anymore.Say we traded Rudy/Bogey for Hunter/Collins/Capela/16.
Then we moved Royce/16/2026 1st for Grant.
This works under the cap for every team and our new starting lineup is:
Donovan
Hunter
Grant
Collins
Capela
Then you still have Conley who you can move for depth or bring him pff the bench. That’s not a bad set of moves and this team would not win 38 games lmao. We’d be squarely in the race for a top-4 seed.
