Predict the Rudy Gobert trade

I think Turner is very available. Fisher had some rumors today. I think they want him to extend but he likely won't... basically if Indiana doesn't move him he walks for nothing if he has a good year.

I could see Indiana liking the certainty of Capela... but we'd need to add something

If were sleuths, we'd talk to Turner's agent and tell him to send him to UTA.

Side note....didn't trader Danny essentially decide to not take Myles Turner for free in a Hayward S&T and let Hayward walk instead?

Correct. I also think you have to realize when trading a player like Rudy is that you never get a dollar and change for your dollar... you get 5 quarters... maybe... but most likely you get 3 quarters and some nickels.
People also have to remember that we have changed our coaching staff. A dollar for us last year might not be a dollar for us this year. No telling what kind of coaching we get. We might get somebody who doesn't want to emphasize Rudy like Quin did.

Quin did everything around Rudy which worked for regular season success. People need to realize that our formula will change.

Seems like a lot of cat and mouse right now.

Atlanta wants Utah to think that they are dangling Collins out there to Portland for #7. They also want to send the message that they want to extend Hunter. In other words, they don't need Rudy to get deals done.

meanwhile.....

Utah is leaking that they want a star caliber player, a young player and draft assets for Rudy.

Uh, seems to me that Utah wants Hunter, Collins and picks for Rudy while Atlanta wants to trade Capela, Collins and maybe a pick for Rudy.
IF the Jazz could get Hunter, Collins, and picks it would be a huge haul.

At this point, I think I would be happy with....

Rudy and Rudy
for
Collins, Huerter, #16 and a 2023 1st

OR

Rudy Gobert
for
Collins, Hunter and #16

We then trade Conley and #16 to Washington for KCP, something to make the salaries work and #10.

That was the rumor. I kinda believe it.

The presumption was he was going to do a deal with Indy and he was bargaining and while Gordon was waiting, he got an offer he couldn't refuse from CHA and that was that.

I can't resist a good trade rumor:

My proposed 4 team trade (Jazz, Hawks, Hornets, Kings)
Jazz out: Gobert, O'Neale
Jazz in: #4, Collins, Capela
Summary: Jazz can use #4 pick to get stud player (I love Ivey), get upside potential in Collins, and Capela as a solid starter.

Hawks out: Capela, Collins, Heurter, #16, 2023 1st (top 10 protected)
Hawks in: Gobert, O'Neale
Summary: Hawks get stud center and 3/D guy to surround Young with.

Kings out: #4, Holmes
Kings in: Grant, Hawks 2023 1st (top 10 protected)
Summary: Kings get win now player and future pick for #4.

Pistons out: Grant
Pistons in: Huerter, #16, Holmes
Summary: Pistons move on from Grant and get a good pick and two solid players in return.

To me, it feels like the Hawks might be giving up to much. Trade still works if you swap out O'Neale with Conley or Bogy. Could also maybe squeeze a second rounder from Pistons to send back to Hawks. Frankly, I wouldn't care if they didn't include Capela and instead flipped him for another player/asset that fit their team (Hornets would probably be interested). I just really love that #4 pick and I am a believer in Collins.
Might also be able to swap who gets #16 & 2023 pick between Pistons and Kings.
