Prepare for the Worst Part 2

Ditto Kemba at 3. Additionally Marshon Brooks who has the stereoetypical Jazz bonehead SG reach plastered all over him. Just stick with Heyward, the one we got right. I don't think we are in any danger of drafting Saer Sene part 2 based on our position, but someone will make that mistake.

That, once again, the guy we draft in the second round turns out to be better than whoever we draft in the first.

Well, since we don't have a 2nd-round pick, that means we draft the next Len Bias with the #3 pick and a guy who has a career-ending knee injury at #12?

Dear God I hope we don't take Kemba at three. I don't hate the thought of Kemba, but the thought of him over Kanter, Knight, and Valanciunas is enough to make me sick. If we're really set on Kemba, trade back to six or seven.

I've said it numerous times on this board.

If KOC selected Kemba @ #3, I will personally change my user name to KOC_BEGONE_2

.. and probably jump off a building straight after.

Okay, substitute "an undrafted free agent we invite to camp" in place of "the guy we draft in the second round" in my original statement.

I was thinking in terms of picking the next Adam Morrison (Pick #3, 2006) and Aleksandar Radojevic (#12, 1999), but your version works, too.

Taking Knight @ 3 would kind of give me that underwhelmed feeling. I have little doubt he won't be good or maybe even great, but I don't see home run potential which I think Kanter/Irving/Williams bring.

I'd be a little underwhelmed with Knight too, but he has enough positives that I'll be ok with that pick. I agree with (I think it was Numbricas assessment) that his ceiling is very high and his basement is average, so there's no complete bust potential. I'd still rather have one of the three that's listed though.

Vesley or Valicious (sp), sigh....that would depress me, even as much as I'll try to talk myself into liking the pick.

walker or fredette would make me sick, i hope it doesnt happen

The God's have given us a gift, and moved us up for once.

Take it as a sign that we should stay there, and get the best available turkish player.

I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that if Jimmer is available at 12 then there is a good chance The Jazz will pick him. I won't be thrilled; but I won't be crushed either.

As far as 3, I pretty much feel the same way as mentioned earlier:

1-Don't pass up Williams
2-Don't draft a white guy other than Kanter
3-If you must - Knight before Walker

The choices are clear - if you follow these rules it will be hard to screw it up.

With the #3 pick in the NBA draft, the Utah Jazz select Kawhi Leonard ...blahaaaaaaaaa. I just threw up my shoes.

I just thought of a worse scenario. The Utah jazz trade the #3 pick and Okur to Detroit for Rip and #8 pick and with the #8 pick, they select Marcus Morris. I have chills just thinking about it.
