Prepare for the Worst Part 2

The God's have given us a gift, and moved us up for once.

Take it as a sign that we should stay there, and get the best available turkish player.

I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that if Jimmer is available at 12 then there is a good chance The Jazz will pick him. I won't be thrilled; but I won't be crushed either.

As far as 3, I pretty much feel the same way as mentioned earlier:

1-Don't pass up Williams
2-Don't draft a white guy other than Kanter
3-If you must - Knight before Walker

The choices are clear - if you follow these rules it will be hard to screw it up.

With the #3 pick in the NBA draft, the Utah Jazz select Kawhi Leonard ...blahaaaaaaaaa. I just threw up my shoes.

I just thought of a worse scenario. The Utah jazz trade the #3 pick and Okur to Detroit for Rip and #8 pick and with the #8 pick, they select Marcus Morris. I have chills just thinking about it.

It is hard to have a worse case in a draft like this really. Players from about 6 on down to 15 are basically interchangeable with but slight differences in talent and potential.

The worst case to me would be if we move any assets to get more picks in this draft.

>2 picks in this draft = worst case scenario

At this point I would be very disappointed if Derrick Williams falls to the Jazz at 3. He's been screaming "Evan Turner" at me since draft talk began. That's not to say that Williams at 3 would be the worst case, he's a great athlete and has great potential. I don't see his value for a team that needs defense. He played ZERO defense in college, the guy barely ran the floor for ***** sake.

I just think that Kanter/Knight are our best realistic bets right now, and I like both players. But if Williams doesn't go 1 or 2, the Jazz are almost forced to draft him, i.e. The Michael Jordan rule KOC loves to drop.

I have to agree that Kemba/Vesely at #3 would be a punch in the nards. But Williams at 3 would make me puke in my mouth a little.

As for Jimmer. I'm on the Jimmer train.
