How did they impose anything on anyone? Windows 7 is still receiving updates. They are not shuttering anything... They aren't pulling a Sony and installing things on your computer without your permission.

Well if you're buying a new computer today, you can't use Windows 7. That's why PC sales have plummetted since the release of Windows 8.

I suspect they'll have to go back to a simpler version in the next revision. (ala XP -> Vista -> Windows 7). This is classic Microsoft, what happened today with XBOX One is just more of the same.

PS4 is not selling for $100. Its selling for $100 less. And rightfully so considering it offers so much less than the XO. Same thing happened last Gen, ps3 sold for $100 more cause it offered more (bluray drive). Neither was "milking it" as you say.

Mcbook Airs are very competitively priced ATM though, with very good specs.

If by priced competitively you actually mean "at market level" then you would be right.
