MKG could. Maybe not shut down. But he could literally end up as one of the best defensive players of all-time when all is said and done. Russell. Pippen. Rodman. Names like these. He's that good.

MKG is a stud, I love him. He's not stopping LeBron though. He's not stopping Durant. The reason Pippen, Russell and Rodman could do so well is because they were allowed to be physical with players. You can't do that anymore, the days of elite defensive stoppers are going. It sucks, but with the way refs call the game that's just how it's going.

Obviously no one's stopping anyone. But he could totally **** them up. Did you see Lebron on Carmello? Like that. Lebron is a great defensive player. MKG could be even better.

As much as I like MKG, unless if he's going to rapidly become 6'8 and 250 with unreal athleticism...he's never going to be a better defender than LeBron.

Not true. He's a half inch shorter than Lebron and could have a wingspan and standing reach equal to The King's. While Lebron's a freight train and superbly conditioned, that and that alone does not make a great defensive player. He could be better. But let's just agree to disagree.

His actually wingspan is less important than MKG's defensive instincts and prep video work I believe he would do.

People talk about Bruce Bowens as a excellent defender but he took the time to watch tape on each of his opponents and to learn their tendencies. Playing great defense is a mental game.

It would be nice if we could get our guys to even realize "Hey, that guy I'm guarding -- he's going to plant himself in the corner for an uncontested three, which he'll hit.
