Quick Question Thread

Not NBA related but why do NFL players celebrate by banging their helmets together? Don't they know it could cause brain injury later in life?

Just makes no sense to me.

Anyone else noticed that Will Hardy has great skin? It always look like he has a concealer on. The skins just looks buttery smooth.

Wonder what’s his secret…
You'd be surprised what not snorting coke like a rock star and avoiding the stress and accompanying wrinkles of getting caught from killing a gaggle of hookers will do for the skin.

What's the difference between the "free throw line" and the "free throw line extended"?

Heard it on the Clarkson ejection today and got really confused.. lol ..

To me that just means the 15-20 foot range (the half circle is 5 feet long)

It’s quite simple actually. Imagine if the free throw line extended all the way to the out of bounds line.

And if we pretend that the three point line extended all across the court, then “toes it for three” takes on a new meaning.

I guess it's being used by others too, but when the refs say it like that it's the sideline at the height of the FT line (for inbounding the ball).

So why not just say "Go shoot at the free throw line"?

Like who would be stupid enough to stand on the side line to shoot a free throw? Haha..
No one uses that phrase to tell someone where to shoot free throws. It is used for a few things, for example to tell them where to take the ball out of bounds, to provide a spatial analysis on the court of where something happened, or where a player was, to give a point of reference for an action or something that happened. Malone was fond of shooting 20 footers from the free throw line extended, so with that you can visualize him being 20 feet away from the basket on an angle that lines him up with the free throw line, but saying free throw line extended is more concise than saying "standing 20 feet from the basket at an angle approximately 45 degrees from the line of the out of bounds line under the basket and the basket itself". So instead, took a 20 footer from the free throw line extended, and since most people can picture the free throw line in their head, they can visualize where he was approximately on the court.

Anyone know what Don said to Walker Kessler after the game ended?

Anyone heard or saw an interview?
