What's new

Quin could decide to end 8 year tenure with Jazz according to Woj and MacMahon

When Quin and DL quit communicating that is the sign you are dealing with children. DL paid for it by getting canned but it really doesn't put Quin in a favorable light. I like your idea of needing an answer by a time certain and then firing him for cause. Most standard employment contracts have a termination for cause clause.
Quin wants the DL treatment. Pay me to go away for a year... problem is we still want him to coach... and he's like imma go away anyway.

He went away this year already. He's a full year ahead of schedule.
He saw DL living his best life and was like "that mutha effer won!!!! we'll see about that!!!"

Interesting... so they think Quin wants Rudy gone or something I guess.
Where did you get that from? (nvm I watched further where they explicitly state it)

From what I could tell is that Quin wants defense, ball movement, and shooting.

I assumed it was more like the Rudy Gay signing. Maybe keeping Clarkson on the team (though he fits the shooting part, but not the defense or ball movement part). Also I would imagine he hates the way Utah has drafted. He probably hated the Udoka pick. He probably hated the Bradley pick. He probably hated the Butler pick.

Rudy is the epitome of Quin's style. He is the fulcrum point that made his system. I would think he likes Rudy more than anyone on the team. The part where they talk about Gobert is just them putting their own feelings on it.

Like this stuff doesnt really make sense from what they said: If Don wants Rudy out, Quin wants Rudy out, and the FO wants Rudy out, and everyone agrees with this, then why is there a holdup on Quin's end?

Those guys had some good points, but also some dumbest **** Ive heard.

The Jazz dont have open tryouts. They have free agent invite workouts. They acting like anyone can walk in and try out for the Jazz lmao. Going off on having tryouts for your team is probably the dumbest thing I've heard.

I wasn't impressed with them at all.

I am guessing it is the opposite with Quin. He wants to keep Rudy and Donovan if he comes back. Likely not interested in a complete overhaul.

Tim MacMahon says at this point he thinks Quin is probably going to leave, and that if he does the Jazz hope he makes that decision sooner rather than later. Says this isn't about money...the Jazz have offered him an extension that would make him one of the highest paid coaches in the league, they have also given him the option to finish out his current contract and take things year by year.

I also skipped through it and the hilarious thing was them talking about Rudy's pick and roll defense is "horrible" and that guys like Luka will go at him and he may affect like 1 out of 15-20 shots.

The also mentioned we don't have any power forwards... we don't have a "Markieff Morris" we don't have someone with Lebron's athleticism... just seems like there is a gap between those two mentions.

Honestly, this is going to be a huge blow to Utah.

Quin was a huge reason some players wanted to come here. Him just leaving is probably a worse hit than Hayward leaving, in terms of perception.

So we are going to draft a new coach who ends up being awesome and Quin gonna break his leg in his first game coaching for San Antonio.
