Quote from Lakers' forums-"All five Utah starters had double digit points, and yet a bench player still had the most scored in the game."

I’m not sure if I like or dislike the pivot that some fan bases have made on Joe Ingles... it used to be “I can’t believe we got spanked by Joe Frickin Ingles” now it’s much more “hey Joe Ingles gonna Jingles... no shame in getting jingled”

I like that he is more respected but I want other fan bases to feel maximum amounts of shame. It’s a tough spot for me.
haha nice.

Also, nice to see a few wise posters in there recognizing Rudy's greatness. That's actually pretty rare. Have to admit there are some thoughtful Laker fans in the mix!

Rudy is massively over rated

Will be good to see how Drummond matches up with him.
Don’t think we’ll win again, but I recon it’ll be close, esp if illasova and favours don’t play

Exited to see how we engage Gobert

Bad night for Drummond on both ends,Gobert was wrecking havoc on them

A lot of folks glorify Mitchell, but Gobert is the Jazz player that makers his team special. His presence for them is huge.

You knew it would be tough when, at the half, Lakers were shooting 9-18 from 3, but still losing by 10. Reason? They were shooting just above 30% from 2.
The first quote is a perfect example of the lack of media attention Utah gets, and Gobert in particular.

The last 3 are perfect examples of why Gobert is in another league compared to all other defenders in the NBA. Sure Simmons can guard any single player. Gobert guards the entire ****ing team and drives them completely out of the paint.

I live directly in the LA market and I can tell you the somewhat enlightened fans are 1 in a million here. The vast majority have the attitude of "why hasn't the NBA just given us our rings yet? Hang on, you mean there are other teams? Can't believe they even bother with the playoffs, the NBA owes us more rings you know."

winnable game.
would love to see how Drummond does against Gobert.
Of
Yea you may not want to attack Gobert in the post. Especially if you are 6'7. He won 2 defensive player of the year awards for a reason.
Hey which is it you idiots is he beast or overrated? Before the game he was overrated now you can’t challenge him? That’s what I thought.
Ingles isn’t hitting ******** like that in the playoffs
Whatever helps you sleep at night.
And Mitchell most certainly isn't their best player. That would be Gobert by a mile
This kind of LA fan is very rare. Lol

The sense of entitlement is staggering. The comments I get when I let them know I'm a Utah fan are along the lines of "Utah huh? Well I hope you enjoy Mitchell while he's there. Soon enough he'll come here to get his ring." Seriously the most punchable fan base in the NBA.

Not surreal. I think the word he’s looking for is “corrupt”.
Corrupt? We saw why he went to LA. No one really wanted him all that badly. No one wants to put up with a center who has that kind of shot selection and doesnt bring it on the defensive end consistently. Has Drummond ever not gotten absolutely wrecked by the top tier centers? He can dominate small teams, but he gets embarrassed anytime he plays a top 10 center.

So I hate the Lakers, growing up in Nevada where the Lakers are all you saw on TV. Didn't even like the NBA till I moved to Utah. Lakers and Houston fans are so full of **** but their tears are so refreshing. And I paid tears are so much sweater

Lakers fans are kind of like 16 year old rich spoiled brats who think they deserve everything given to them and if that if you don’t win championships you are a loser.

Newsflash: everyone wants to play for you because of your location haha you get so many advantages simply due to location and market size. Would Lebron ever join the jazz? You guys just casually pick up Lebron and Drummond like it’s expected. If the jazz organization /management and the lakers organization switched spots, the jazz would have all the benefits and privileges. That’s fine to be a fan but don’t act like you earned it and that your organization is just smarter. It’s way harder these days for a small market to win one championship than it is for a big market to win two.
