Jazz were not sharp in losing to the Suns last night. So this is a back-to-back for them. Not sure that matters much. Mitchell not dominating like he did in the playoffs. He is much more passive and deferring to Conley more. And Bogdanovic had a bad game for them last night. All in all these guys looked pretty bad. We should beat them if the team that whipped the Blazers shows up and is ready to play. If we mail it in like we did against Dallas we will lose. So this is going to be the big question going forward. Which Clippers team is going to show up. The good Clippers team that plays hard and nasty defense and wins the battle of the boards. Or the lax and lazy Clippers team that gets outworked and outhustled every possession and loses to inferior teams.
The jazz are struggling to find rhythm right now, meanwhile after the 51 blowout, the clippers have looked like a championship team with exceptional spurs like ball movement.
The question is can they keep the pace up?

GGs to the Jazz, Conley **** on us as usual, and he made clutch play after clutch play to seal this one. One positive to takeaway from this game is that the team didn't hold their heads and made a great effort to come back from 18 (twice)! Great game

terrible shooting almost the entire night but we fought back from being down 18 twice. just couldn't get stops at the ends of quarters. still, a lot to be happy about--i think this was probably our best-played game of the season, we just got unlucky with the shooting
Fine with a loss like that especially with the fight to make it competitive at the end. Jazz are definitely a tough team and we're still early in the season coming off a short offseason. Perfect highlight for the extreme highs and lows for this clipper squad this season. Second quarter showed how gnarly the defense can be and the comeback to single digits proves that they can be a pretty competitive offensive threat. Got some serious work to do to fix those shooting slumps though
Feel like Conley and Ingles get a plus 10 on all stats whenever they play us. Maybe plus 20 for Conley. Every damn time
The clippers just have issues playing big *** centers. Jokic in the playoffs and gobert. It’s rare nowadays because of shooting but if you have a dominant 7footer your always at an at advantage. Imagine if gobert actually was skilled
*I'm on board with the veteran respect that Ibaka gets but in this game, Zu should've played more against Gobert. He did better on offense on him than Ibaka. The pick n roll was working with Zu. I don't know why they subbed him out. I'm not happy about this. It smells like last year.
*Zu played great.
*PatBev is no joke. I love to watch him momentarily guarding Gobert.
*PG's shot wasn't going in but he played great, hard, with great defense, and team offense. I'm happy with his performance.
*Kawhi was consistent. Loved his game.
*At some point, these kind of losses have to be the responsibility of Ty and the coaches. Ty subbed Space Cadet Jackson in and he has no leash. He does a messy job. His substitution patterns and decisions are being watched carefully.
*Kennard can't keep any one in front of him.
*Between Lou and Kennard in the second team, Zu must be pissed that his man gets so much play because he has to help on the dribble drives. If Zu plays with the starters, he would be a way better asset. I can't wait until Batum comes and helps the second team.
*I'm optimistic about the defense with Zu or Ibaka on the starters.

As an honest Clippers fan I think I speak for our fan base when I say we are bad. This team is not coached well n Kawhi is not good. We’ve been inferior to the Jazz for years as well and we need to start over with a better Small Forward. This is coming from an honest fan btw

Ingles is a very good player too, but it seems like he still holds a grudge against the Clippers because he almost never has a bad game against them.
