What's new

Quotes from Clippers' forums-"I am not enjoying this game as much as I thought I would.'

I don't get the "sus Rudy" reference. Looking it up seems like he is a suspected criminal. What's that about?
It's from the game Among Us, basically saying you think they're an imposter - short for "suspicious."

In the game, you're trying to determine who is on your crew and who are evil shapeshifting aliens who want to destroy all the humans. Think The Thing played for 5 minutes and kind of cutesy.

Easily some of the dopiest fan comments we’ve had thus far. Very infuriating to read. Somebody should send them a memo that we’re well aware that beating a Clipper team without KL, PG, and Batum in December isn’t much to celebrate, but well, the game was on the NBA schedule so we went ahead and played it anyway. Hope that’s ok.

It’s pretty funny reading the “Yeah but the Jazz suck in the playoffs” comments from a fanbase that’s seen their team make it to a whopping 1 WCF in franchise history. A feat that they just managed to accomplish a mere 6 months ago no less.

If the upcoming playoffs are the ones in which the Jazz finally manage to put it together, I REALLY hope a fully healthy Clipper squad is one of the teams we go through. It almost feels like we have to just to make the run as fulfilling as humanly possible.

"Sus": giving the impression that something is questionable or dishonest; suspicious. All the cool kids are using it.

They obviously thought they owned us and could beat us short handed with the small ball lineup again. Small ball don’t work against the Jazz anymore biatches!!!

There is a whole lot of whining about the Jazz beating a banged up Clippers team. Yep, sometimes teams lose games when all of their players aren't healthy.

It's homophobic. People use "sus" to mean suspect, and it's often used if someone is acting "gay". So Rudy "Gay" is Sus Rudy.

*It can be used in non-homophobic context too, but it's pretty clear that's what they mean in this context*

Can you imagine if it’s actually true?? I keep watching them handle switching defenses and teams going small on us, and make no mistake, they’ve handled all of it with ease, but I’m still worried about the shine coming off yet again in the playoffs.

I still think there’s gotta be a move for a high level 3 and perimeter D guy with some size if we hope to see it translate. Things we’re seeing the Jazz handle with ease right now are easily things that can become a huge problem when a team has ample time to focus solely how to refine their attack against the Utah Jazz.

The more the other team's fans whine and complain and in general are extra annoying just means their tears taste both extra salty and extra sweet.... sorta like salted caramel.

Also I did need to remind myself to be fair to their comments about us seemingly being so excited to beat a team without their star players, to them we seemed excited but that is just what good fan support looks like and they just wouldn't know anything about that.

Like what did they want Jazz fans to do?

"Dang it, that totally sucks that we actually won that game when they had so many injured players."

I saw nobody celebrating the win as though it brought any real redemption for the playoff loss.

Well I read the quotes yesterday so it may have been partly me more remembering how I felt than what they said but here is one. I guess most of the other ones I was thinking were more directed at the players and the Jazz as a team.
jazz fans really gonna get hyped up on this win acting like they own us now
**** the jazz and their stupid ****ing fans
