This is lowkey a big game for us. The Magic have a bad record against teams above .500, and I think the one win was against the Sixers at the end of 3 games in 4 nights and Embiid didn't play.
The Magic are healthier than they've been in a while.
The Jazz aren't that far above .500 so it should be a good game. As well as the fact that Utah isn't super elite so there's no morale victory here. It's win or disappointment.
Utah is better than their record. Their defense is elite, their offense has been much worse than they should be.

Vuc has a ways to go to get back. I dont mind fournier having a somewhat rough game but AG again is terrible, which kills us.
At this point i watch to enjoy fultz, bamba and jis growth since they are the future of this team. Surround them with shooters and we may have something.

I turned off the game in the 3rd when we stopped playing any defense. A few minutes ago I checked the final score and saw it close. Checked the play by play because surely we narrowed the score in garbage time. I was obviously wrong.
Let me get this straight. We went on a 33-8 run to make it 97-90 with like 5 minutes left, then allowed a 19-5 run to lose?

I mean seriously what is this team? A third of the season is over and still have not beaten a team over .500 at full strength (sixers without Embid). The East is so horrible after the 7th seed it seems our floor is making the playoffs and getting waxed in the first round and our ceiling is making the playoffs and maybe stealing one game like last year but still getting waxed in the first round.
The Jazz had a remarkably big lineup in down the stretch.
Ingles/Mitchell/Bogdanović/O'Neale/Gobert were in for the last 05:30.
Yet the Magic had Augustin AND Fultz in there all the way until 01:53.
Utah made 5 of 7 shots from 04:31 to 01:53.
Up 7 and then Donovan makes that emphatic dunk I knew they would blow it because it got them jacked up after essentially being steamrolled in the 4th up to that point. DJ has that terrible pass but he was massive in the 4th and the reason we had the lead to begin with, however AG was straight up trash on multiple levels. Vuc unfortunately can't make clutch shots, why I don't know because he should be able to. This team just tightens up late and can't get good looks, and if they do they fail to convert.
There were 17 total possessions in the final 03:40 of the game.

Jazz shot 6-6 from the floor, 4-4 from the FT line with 1 TO over their final 9 possessions.
We should've had Isaac defending Mitchell more. He's at his best defending one-on-one shot creators, not running around screens.

We worked so hard to get back in the game and take the lead only to choke it away in the final 5 minutes of the game. Isaac getting subbed out was definitely a head scratcher. I'm more upset at that awful pass DJ threw when we were only down 1 point.
