If we win we switch team names

When I see this i want to cry. Gordon Hayward $14.5 million per year. Solomon Hill $11 mill

Gobert is going to have an All Star performance tonight in host city of the ASG after ol' snap chat professional Draymond got the nod over him. Unbelievable how overrated Draymond is.*

If AD can get the mid range jumper going and defense can container Hayward, Pels could squeak out a quality win.

There aren't many centers I would take over Gobert (KAT, Embiid, Gasol...?), the guy is a defensive maven.

The*#Pelicans*made 13 of their 17 shots in the 2nd quarter. That's insane to say they are still down by 9

Quinn Snyder looks like an east coast crime boss

Quinn Snyder reminds me of Matthew McConaughey's character from Wolf of Wallstreet

I wonder what it's like to cheer for an intelligent, well coached team
• Like a team that doesn't leave Joe Johnson open for threes?

What I would give to have Gordon Hayward....

Enough already. I'm finished supporting a team that's not willing to do what they have to,to win. You wasted CP3s time and I'm sure AD will be the next asking for a trade.

Expected, the Jazz are a really good team.

Things became painful for the New Orleans Pelicans tonight.

New Orleans shot 45.5% from the field, yet could not overcome domination in every facet of the game, in a home loss to the Utah Jazz.

New Orleans scored just 41 points in the second half, while giving up 65 points to Utah in the same stretch. The Pelicans gave up at least 28 points in every single quarter of tonight’s game.

The Pelicans got beat in every single way possible tonight. They did not beat Utah in any significant way. This is a team that looks lost on what they want to be and how they want to play. New Orleans*want to push the pace, yet can not execute their transition. They want to be forceful inside, yet can not find enough players to box out and be threats posting up. The Pelicans need to find something they are good at, that they can consistently thrive on in games against their opponents. Until they can, games like this will continue to happen and become the norm.

Trailing by 39 in the fourth quarter - even the 18-64 team in 2004-05 didn't have many losses like this one.

A 33pt loss at home. Just wow

How long will this bulls--t go on.

Well that was embarrassing

Pelicans trailed by a 39-point deficit in the fourth quarter - probably be some quick exits out of the locker room tonight.

Jazz post their highest point total of season, pull away from #Pelicans in 2H for 127-94 victory:

This is a good thing. I do not think we can lose a game during All Star break.

Notice Jazz continue to play their identity. They give up about 95 and hold Pels to that even when scoring at will.

Very workman like game from Jazz. Coach, pay attention. Your small ball approach not effective versus top tier teams unless perimeter game is excellent.

Most telling stats in Pels' blowout loss to Jazz - shot 5 of 24 (20 percent) on 3s, 11 of 38 (28.9%) from the floor in 2nd half - AT HOME.

Gentry: They beat us in every phase of the game. Their execution was flawless

I came back to the forum just to see if the quotes had been posted yet and it's right at the top

Snyder ones are fun, but I've really enjoyed opposing fans reactions to Jingles. That's by far and away my favorite part of these threads.

That and how opposing fans would throw that max contract at Gordon Hayward. Wonder how much of a debate gets kicked around here about him not being worth it, or being a number 2 option at best.

Just watched a couple post game interviews from the pelicans. Alvin Gentry and Solomon Hill gave us huge props, basically saying the Jazz are one of the elite teams in the league and they can't feel too bad about losing to them. Solomon Hill seems like a smart guy.

Another fan base who would kill to have Hayward.

Yet, some of the people on this board are skeptical of him still.

Saw this tweet. Made me smile. . .

The theme in the #Pelicans locker room was one admiring the #Jazz rather than gloom-and-doom about their own performance.

F*** that.
I hope they don't imitate Utah. I want them to be all Knicks, Kings dysfunctional. They still got a D. I really don't want them to figure it out.

Not impossible with the right moves. A few years ago we were losing by 50 (45) at home.

I post, therefore I am.

A lot of high praise for the Jazz coming out of the Pelicans' locker room. "They're a great team," Anthony Davis said.

Well it's no wonder we've been kickin so much butt lately, somebody in the Big Easy just fingered Snyder as "an east coast crime boss".;)

PS Good thing they didn't win, cause there's even less pelicans in Utah than there is Jazz musicians.

Speaking of Jazz musicians, I heard David Benoit was in town. Thought I'd get him to autograph my basketball. Instead, a concert broke out.

Never heard this many good words about the Jazz from an opposing team.
Hey, they shot 45% (NBA average) against (per their coach) #1 defense in the league and still lost by 33.

Coach Gentry also says NOP actually played hard but they need to bring it every possesion against such a team, the Utah Jazz are elite, 19-4 when healthy.

Wasn't Gentry tossed around as a possible HC to replace Ty?

Have to give a ton of credit to DL for choosing Quin. He was the right choice, the right personality for the players we have.
