And that's why they were great wins, because they overcome that handicap, but that doesn't mean that the advantage of experience doesn't exist.

Playoff experience absolutely matters. There's a reason you don't see a lot of first time playoff teams making it to the finals. That said, I think overall talent matters more, and I still expect Denver to make it out of the first round, they are a really really good team. I would be a little surprised to see them in the WCF though.

Oh it’s a thing for sure. There are outliers to every rule but most teams try and fail a few times in the playoffs.

Teams like the nuggets have a pretty big home court advantage and play so differently that it is hard to scheme for just one game. Their center is basically their point guard. Taking a few things away from them with advanced preparation could cause them some serious issues. I like Malone but I think he will get out coached in a series... I think he’s a good motivator and good dude but not sure he’s an Xs and Os super genius.

I’d rather play the Nuggets than OKC, Porty, Houston, and GS of course. It’s close with them and Portland...

We had some dudes with playoff experience doe... Hill, Joe Johnson, Jae Crowder... last year we were a second year playoff team except Ricky and DM.

Denver is young and it’s their initial playoff run. The young thing may matter more than playoff experience... Millsap helps with his experience... not sure IT is in the rotation in the post season.

Lack of postseason experience isn’t always an issue but the combo of young and lack of experience could be deadly.
