The Washington Wizards did not need reminders about their last matchup against the Utah Jazz. The scars from that Dec. 4 game remain, still fresh enough that the team has refused to review the 47-point loss in the film room. Players and coaches can only stomach those memories in brief clips. Still, before Wednesday night’s game, someone had not forgotten and scribbled “47 pts” on the team’s whiteboard, outlining the digits in three colors. The unknown artist’s reminder could not prevent the Wizards from another staggering loss to Utah, 107-104.

Wednesday night vs the Jazz is the perfect opportunity to not spend a lot of money to see this team. Got three club level seats for 21 a piece. I think the wiz come out extremely focus and blow out the Jazz by 30.

Mitchell has been awesome but he's still a rookie. I'm really going to be ticked if him and Rubio out plays our backcourt.

The Jazz are reeling after losing Gobert to injury in mid-December. Without Gobert, they've lost 8 of their last 10 (doesn't count Sunday's Miami game). They don't have a lot of great scorers in general, so without Gobert to lead their normally stifling defense, the wheels have come off. Their DRtg with Gobert healthy is 104.5, which ranks them 3rd in the league. In the 10 games without Gobert, it's 115.2, which ranks dead last in the league. On the other hand, the Jazz handed the Wizards their most humiliating loss in team history early this year, so it's not like the Wizards should be feeling overconfident. The Wizards will be rested after 4 days off, they're coming off of a disappointing loss to Milwaukee, and they'll be looking to avenge their last loss. I think they'll be focused and engaged this time. I predict a win.

Don’t deserve to win this game but I’ll be ****ing pissed if they lose

If fluke shooting by Rubio is all the Jazz have it's going to be a long game for Utah.

Making Udoh look like an All-Pro.

This team reflects the aspirations of this franchise, a bunch of second rate underachievers that think they are owed something.

Why does this Jazz team always own us

This is one of those times where the other team just thinks they are better than the wiz! They playing like they own us

· Did you see last game? Haha. They actually do own us

Oubre just left Ingles to gamble for a strip on Mitchell. Ingles makes a 3. Brooks is furious. He calls timeout.

What the **** was that final possession by Beal. Pretty sure he missed like 5 straight shots and we still went to him, why not Otto or literally anyone else?

Wow hard to believe how overpaid and underworked this wizards team is. Why would anyone spend their hard earned money to watch these clowns play?

Jazz also seemed better coached. The same defensive problems continue to exist.

Return of the Submissives.

The Jazz won with a decimated team. Good for them.

The Wizards showed little regard in the half court, tying a season high with 23 turnovers. They got beat on defense, and Oubre’s late decision in the game to cheat off his responsibility, Jazz forward Joe Ingles, led to disastrous results and served as a microcosm for these second-half gaffes.

Plenty of touches, no ability to reliably create. Worse, not even looking to score when ball is in hands. Don’t even need to name names…it’s 12 guys on the team

Y’know, if a team beat me by almost 50, the next time we played, I’d try and step it up a notch to avenge my failures the last time. But maybe I’m just not woke to whatever strategy this team’s employing.

This was such a bizarre game. Both teams combined for 5 free throws in the first half, Meeks got a lot of play time but did nothing, Ricky Rubio was hitting 3s, Jason Smith played, and the Wizards could not hold their lead. Congrats to Utah for getting their 4th road win of the year smh

Utah's bench: 35 pts/14 reb/7 ast/6 stls/4 TOs WAS Bench: 16 pts/14 reb/2 ast/1 stl/5 TOs

I never understand why The Wizards have so many problems with Utah. Back in The 90s I understood, because of two HOF players like Malone and Stockton, but not now.

DC police issue urgent missing persons’ update....All Washington Wizards players. If you’ve seen any in the last 45 seconds of tonight’s game, please call DC police

turnover duo made 13 turnovers together.

Inexcusable and sums up this entire season so far. At home with a 3 day break against a Jazz team without Gobert and Favors (not to mention Hood being ejected and Mitchell going into foul trouble early), and we respond with 22 turnovers, and yet again seeing how Scott Brooks is basically incapable of running anything other than a Beal/Wall iso late in a close game.

Well at least the score more than 69 points tonight...

Can’t lie the ending was hilarious

Is it bad if I’m just sitting here staring at the tv laughing? I mean that was entertaining in a ‘funny as hell washington Generals kinda way’ right? Let’s get it close..build suspense then get caught in the air and drop the ball while going up

Literally just got home from the game and a few rows from Otto on the last play, we were all screaming at Otto to throw to Wall and then he throws to Beal

The Wizards should win the lifetime sucking achievement award.

As an outsider I have to say even I am embarrassed by how this team is playing. Yeah for some reason I bet on them and I feel absolutely tortured watching this second half against a team that is 3-16 on the road and missing their 2 best bigs one of which is all team defense. Anyways just wanted to say hi, I share your pain.

Is writing “47” on the team white board after losing to the Jazz by 47 and then proceeding to lose to the worst road team in the nba without their starting frontcourt the most wizard thing ever?

Wall star with the worseeeeee 30 Point game ever!!!!!! Lol wtf man

Of course, Oubre leaves Ingles wide open to help on Mitchell. How about give up the drive instead of a wide open 3.

I’m going to kill myself. What a horrendous game

Wall took 27 shots; Beal took 19. Frequently, it seemed fairly obvious where their passes were headed (to each other), and this lack of diversity and imagination in the offense, combined with their generally sloppy play and failure to "value the basketball" was painful in more ways than one. This style of play is just not conducive to wins.

Watched the second half; pulling for the local team. I felt kinda stunned. That might be the ugliest basketball that I have seen since ML Carr was coaching the Celtics. Unforced errors galore. And there was something profoundly wrong about the emotional state of the Wiz. Sort of nonchalant, angry and entitled. Horrible. How many times is Wall going to fly into people and then scowl at officials for lack of a call? But he wasn’t only one begging for calls. Everyone is constantly scowling and begging. How about working the ball for someone other than Wall or Beal to shoot? How about not constantly telegraphing cross court passes? This team looks self-satisfued and lost at the same time. In short, very poorly coached. There is no plan. They just run around and wing it. This team in no way resembles the squad that pushed Celtics to the limit in playoffs last year. I don’t think I should watch Wiz and root for them at the same time. It makes me upset.

They act like they are really good and play nothing like it. And just think, they just came off of a three day break and had multiple practices to fix some things.

The Wizards are their own worst enemy. Seriously 23 turnovers?! The Jazz had ONLY 3 away victories out of the whole season and they beat you at home?! I will not be purchasing a Wizards ticket until they do better. AND to think I voted for Wall and Beal as All-Stars

ZERO EXPECTATIONS = ZERO DISAPPOINTMENTS

This loss is worse than the 47 point loss to me I don’t know what it takes to motivate this team. For the Wizards to let the team that embarrassed them and out work them without their best player is just sad. Guys were sloppy on offense and showed no type of intensity on defense. Side note: Bradley Beal may be the least-clutch player I’ve seen in my entire life and that’s not an exaggeration

Who is Ekpe Udoh and why did he look like the 2nd coming of Wilt vs us?

So sad, they beat us without Favors and Gobert. Their only big man was Udoh and we couldn't take advantage of that. We should ****ing destroy them in the paint.

Wish we played team ball like Utah ... should move the ball around more and faster
