R.I.P. 2014 Tank

Historically the median for worst record in the league has been about 17 wins since 2000 (not counting the lockout season a couple years ago). That means even if the Jazz are the worst they still have to win 13 more games. So they might as well win most of them at home and give the fans something to cheer for. They can always suck it up on the road like they've done historically.

The tank can suck it. I want to watch a competitive team that is a good player and a couple of years away from being a contender.

Agreed, at least they got rid of Mancrap and Bi Gal so we can see what we really have, and some of it isn't too bad. Some of it isn't what we thought though

The Jazz have a bunch of 20 year olds + the worst bench in the NBA.

What world are you living in Siro. The Jazz bench ranks from about 14-19th (out of 30) in the league in scoring, rebounds, assists, blocked shots etc. Decidedly middle of the road, but not worst in the league as you imply.

WTF is Corbin doing?

This year should be all about developing our young players, Favors, Burke, Burks, Kanter, Hayward, Gobert. And hopefully grab a GREAT player in the draft.

So why is he playing Marvin & Jefferson heavy minutes to win games?!?! This is Jefferson & Millsap stinking up our draft position all over again!!!

Corbin is showing the young players how to win games. When they play winning basketball, they will play over Jefferson, at the very least.

LOL.. isn't the last 3-4 seasons enough of this "showing" though? How much more can they be "shown" something without having to actually "accomplish" the thing themselves?

Kanter in particular has been so starved of minutes the last 3 years - and you're gonna starve him some more??!!

Well, I see Favors, Hayward, and Burks out there for major minutes, and even Burke is playing a lot. Evans is a limited player getting decent minutes. So, who this "they" could you be talking about? Did you mean "he"?

Is he ready for more? Perhaps Kanter is sated, and you want to gorge him. If all of the other young players are playing, and Kanter is not, why do you assume this is an issue with Corbin, and not Kanter?

"They" only got serious minutes this year when Lindsey traded away Big Al, Millsap and Foye to force Corbin's hands.

Whether or not he's ready for me, it's time to see what he's got. This is the perfect opportunity to do that, being a "tank year" and all. Once next year rolls around and we're back on the "win now" mode once again, that opportunity is gone.

Does everyone on this board just forget that Kanter hurt his ankle? He will probably go back to averaging around 30 minutes a game once he is healed up. Needs to work on conditioning though.
