maybe this was answered at some point, I'm not sure...
but if you worked for an employer who, for whatever reason, requested that you refrain from saying Merry Christmas to customers (or some other religiously significant greeting) and instead use the more generic Happy Holidays, would you have a hissy fit about it?
(OK, maybe hissy fit is not a good phrase, I'm not sure - if you're offended by my use of that term, I'm sorry. Now I may have to look it up. If you have an alternative to suggest that would mean essentially the same thing, let me know. Thanks.)
