Randy Foye +/- before and after the Mo Injury -- can the Foye/Burks experiment continue

I haven't been able to watch as many games as I would like. I can make a few arguments to throw it out, but for conversation sake I want to see if it passes the smell test for you guys and gals.

I know in a limited sample size, the Foye Burks combo is off the charts. Beyond this it seems like he has really turned around at least on the box score. I'd like to think that some lineup changes are helping him be more effective.

I think a 3pt specialist has good value on this team. Especially at his current Salary I say he is a keeper.

Hint for next time you make a thread:

It is best trying to hide the fact that you're using +/- in analyzing a players worth, when you are postulating comparison's between players.

When you refer to the fact that you're using +/- in your thread title, of all places, you're gonna have a bad time

Some food for thought.

The Foye hate on this board is ridiculous. He gets way overused, but is that his fault? Foye is right up there with Memo and Korver as the best shooters we've had since Horny. Ty just completely mis-uses him at times. Guy should be coming off the bench with the green light to jack 4-5 threes if they're good looks. Also as the OP pointed out the Foye/Burks combo worked with a lot of success, might as well keep going to that well until it dries up.

George, you already got my vote for alt of the year. How about a gentle explanation as to why the anomaly occurs, or even better show us another metric that explains what's going on with Foye.

Gotta spread the rep. :(

Foye has been very good lately..... and the foye burks backcourt combo has been really good and fun to watch.

Too bad ty corbin likes watson WAY better than burks though so we wont be seeing that combo as much as we should.
I think last night against cleveland, burks and foye played zero minutes together.

And combo's matter. Teaming Burks with Watson is like Superman and kryptonite; Watson just drains the energy that Burks brings into the game.

I agree 100 percent. Foye coming off the bench as a gunslinger role is exactly how he should be used. If his shot isn't falling then he should be not be playing as much but when he is on fire, Foye is a great scoring threat.

Can someone check to find out what Al Jefferson's +/- was before and after Mo Williams became injured???

Would be interesting. I have a feeling it stayed the same.

1. Mo was out in game 29 as well.

2. Where are you getting your numbers? I just went through the boxscores, and Foye is +31 since Mo's been out of the starting lineup (injured). He was only +6 in the Orlando game (#29). Per NBA.com, he's only -75 on the season, which puts him at -106 for games 1-28.

I've been thinking of doing something like this as well since Foye seems to be playing very good basketball right now. He's not chucking as much either. I still think that he would be very good off the bench if you could temper his chucking. He has shown incredible shooting ability though! Must spread some Rep as well. Thanks.

With how good our 3pt shooting is now, it's scary to think how good it will be once Mo is back and Earl never plays again.

It's Jorge E. Hirsch not George if you're trying to make a declaration. This guy is spelled right. Is this you?

The correlation my not be directly or highly related to Mo Williams but to the fact a new guy (Foye) is getting adjusted to his role after some time in the system. There is no doubt that Foye is getting the right looks and guys are looking for him recently.
