What's new

Randy Moss

I can't see a young team going after him, so scratch the Rams, Buccaneers, and Chiefs. The Raiders have played that game before. The usual suspects, aka Bengals, Redskins, Broncos, and Cowboys, are going nowhere so they won't want another distraction. The Packers, Colts, Texans, Giants, and Ravens aren't looking for distractions. The Steelers, Titans, and Dolphins don't play the Moss style. It comes down to the Jets and Patriots, and the Patriots were eager to kick him to the curb before the Vikings gave away a 3rd round pick for nothing. I'll be shocked if it's not the Jets.

consider yourself shocked. interesting to see the titans eat that contract as well, i guess they thought he wouldnt clear and this was their only shot.

I think he is going to do great on the Titans. Jeff Fisher is a coach who has control and structure unlike Brad "Suck on Favres Tip" Childress. The funniest thing about the Vikings waive was this "We want good football players who are also good people". Yet they have a 40 year old QB who is sucking, cheated on his wife, and sent nude pics to a reporter. Great dude.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I don't know that there could have been a worse QB to match Moss up with.

Really? Collins and Young are two of the best deep ball passers in the game. Add in a coach who demands respect and it's a good situation. I won't say it's great because I don't know that anyone on the field will be able to keep him in line (like perhaps Mawae would have had he not retired) if he seems to become disinterested but this is a good situation and should open things up for Chris Johnson a little more and make their offense better overall. I'll add that this move should be about the next 2-3 years, as they should now have the best odds to re-sign him, as much as it is about this year where there are just too many damn good teams for them to make the playoffs, let alone do any post-season damage, imo. But we'll see.

Moss doesn't care who the coach is. What can a coach do to him? Yell at him? Bench him? Cut him? He still gets his money. If things go well he'll behave. If he doesn't get his way he'll throw more hissy fits.

Moss is still playing for one more contract, and now he has a two-strike count. I'll think he'll do fine.

To say that Moss was/is not a great receiver is a fallacy. Last year he caught for 1200+ yards and 13 TD's...it's just that his desire doesn't match his skill level and that is what is so aggravating. I hope that all works out well for him with Tennessee and I think it will. I have always respected Jeff Fisher's ability to command discipline and respect from his team. His Defenses always play with an edge, but it's a controlled edge. I also believe that this should skyrocket Chris Johnson's value and it's a shame that Kenny Britt just went down for 6-8 weeks as he could have thrived with Moss having the bulk of the coverage rolled his way.
