This is a swing for the fences off season that absolutely caught wood (is that a baseball saying?)!

The only thing that could stop this from being an A+ is if the home run ball hits a seagull before it clears the stands.

Adding Conley for the cost = B-
Adding Bojan for his contract = B-
Adding Ed Davis for Room MLE = B
Adding Conley then adding Bojan then adding Davis = A+

By themselves, those moves were very risky. With Conley, we still lacked a great fit PF option and enough talent and depth. With Bojan and no Conley, he would have given so much needed offense but we would have lacked the floor general to bring it all together. Adding Davis would have been nice, but quite redundant if we still had Favors.

Conley and Bojan then Davis is a clear signal that we plan on contending the next two years. In summer 2021 when Conley, Gobert, Exum, Ingles and Mitchell are due new contracts, we can either stick with the same formula or completely rebuild around Donovan, Bojan and O'Neale. Whatever happens, we know we did our best to contend for the next two years.

Who knows - maybe we make the finals or win a title in the next two years. Maybe we elect to bring everybody back. Maybe we are in the market for Giannis in 2021. So much is possible now that we have shown that we have what it takes to be aggressive.

It's an A+. And when you factor in the fact the Jazz don't usually do s--t during the offseason the grade shoots to the moon. It's amazing, really. We're going to win a lot of games and I look forward to seeing what other moves the front office will make.

How can it be anything other than an A?!? Many of us have clamored and cried and argued for the Jazz to make moves and be aggressive and let the chips fall where they may. For the first time in Jazz basketball history, they have swung for the fences as best they could and at the very least, on paper we look like legitimate contenders.

The most intriguing thing to me is that we will still make a few moves for a couple of vets and we get to see which of our draft picks really are good enough to make the team and contribute.

What an exciting time to be a Jazz fan!
