Romeo Had Juliette cover...Nice! I like it a lot. 7/10.

This song is not for everyone. It has some minor swears (the title is just what you think it would be) but damn, it makes me happy!

Calls himself the MVP of the MPC, he's a monster on those pads. Used to work with Dipset, recently its more electronic stuff.

Oh, that's good. 8/10

This Aussie band has, I believe, 4 albums, and every song is about beards.

The Beards! I may have snorted a few times. I do enjoy a good novelty song and this fit the bill. 6/10

This just hit and after a couple of listens, I'm digging it.

The Beards - If Your Dad Doesn't Have a Beard You've Got Two Moms

LOL.

This seems like the appropriate place - - and that is a good segué - - to make everyone aware that this coming Monday, August 24 is International Strange Music Day.

https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/international-strange-music-day/
International Strange Music Day was created by Patrick Grant, a New York City musician. The premise is simple: to get people to play and listen to types of music they have never experienced before. The ‘strange’ part can mean either unfamiliar or bizarre – the choice is entirely yours. Patrick believes broadening people’s musical spectrums can also change the way we look at other aspects of life – his mantra is ‘listening without prejudice’.
Four albums of songs about beards would seem to qualify!
:-)

Oz' answer to the Flight of the Conchords.

LOL! My son said essentially the same thing when he heard/watched those videos.
Though he wasn't as amused as I was at the idea of a band playing only beard-themed songs.

The Dead Weather - I feel Love (Every Million Miles)
8/10 - - sort of a retro 90's girl band sound, reminded me a bit of a slightly edgier, blusier Heart. I liked the way it changed tempo a couple of times, yet maintained its integrity. Good song.

That's one of the things I enjoy about him, is the disconnect between his very mild demeanor and the raucous music he plays. He was the guitarist for a groundbreaking hard-core punk band, Husker Du, as well as the lead singer and voice for Sugar in the 90s.

that mention of Husker Dü took me back to my wilder days as a bit of a bar band groupie, and this was one of my favorite bands - - and it makes me happy that she's still doing her thing!
