I'm actually pretty pumped about our team this coming season, and Exum is no exception.

Excitement levels regarding players I want to watch.

Exum
Gobert
Burks
Hood
Hayward
Favors
Lyles
Pleiss
Booker
Cotton

Gob, Hay, and Favors are a little low on the list mostly because I already have a good idea of what I'll see from them.
I guess I can throw Neto on the bottom of the list, and Ingles post game interviews in there.

I'm probably drowning in the KoolAid, but I can see this team winning 50+ barring injury issues.
I'd call for someone to throw me a rope, but I don't want out.

If you are over the cap, you can't sign another player over the MLE slot (right?). If you have no cap, but a LT, you still allow teams to sign people, just at a huge cost.

We don't agree on a limit. I agree on no limits, but for $$$ penalties to be imposed if a team wants to go above a certain amount.

I'll leave it to others to determine whether your conclusion bears any meaningful relationship to your post that started this discussion. To me it feels like you are moving the goal posts all over the field.

Cap and LT are 2 different things moron.

Two completely different games. You arguing that this system resulted in parity in MLB is as meaningful as me saying that the NBA should exactly mirror the NFL model because of the parity that exists there.

The real solution would be to leave the salary cap and luxury taxes in place and remove limits on player contracts. Say the cap is at 100 Mil. LeBron would fetch about $60 Mil in that scenario. All the top tier guys would command something insane and you wouldn't have as many top 20 players on the same team.
 
I think the Yankees have won WAY more championships than any other team in mlb.

Also in mlb it seems that one player probably doesn't effect the game as much as one player does in bball

Who cares about mlb? We are talking about basketball here right?

Is there a market as small as slc in mlb anyway? Does slc or Utah have a major league baseball team?
