Honest question. If all other things remain the same is a player better because they get selected to the All Star team?
In the case of every all star chosen last Feb, outside of Butler, a resounding yes.
Here is my point:
Hood is a very, very nice player. He is a solid starter. If you can upgrade him and move him to the bench, you do it. If you can't, it's ok because he is an average starter.
Expecting him to become some great player is foolish. There's nothing that suggests this other than homerism. He is a solid starter. He will play 8-10 years, start some, come off the bench in some. He will make a boat-load of money. I'd love to be in his position.
