Reasons to vote conservative

I wouldn't say that ... I have yet to read the whole article. But you think it's a good idea to appoint a Coal Industry lobbyist as head of the EPA? I'd say there's a conflict of interest. The guy who resigned had connections to the fossil fuel industry. You think the Pipeline is a good idea, as well as all the fracking going on? Why did he renounce the Paris Agreement?

I thought it was hilarious when he appointed Scott Pruitt. What's your hard on for coal anyway? It's already going away. If you dont believe me then call the power plants in Utah, or pick up a newspaper.

Here's the thing. We all grew up thinking getting away from fossil fuels was a good idea. Clean air, clean water, national parks and refuges, all great. And then we were introduced to the Sierra Club and all these radicals and their obstructionist methods. Total turn off. Cap and trade for example, great idea. That worked out really well for our acid rain problem. The west had to pay unnecessarily for an eastern problem (just like we do with mercury today) but in general it was great. But then comes along the global warming alarmists with their sensationalized devastation promotions and again total turn off to cap and trade.

Just remember to watch those campaign ads about the filthy brownies before you cast your votes. Don't let the Nazis fool you with talks about the economy and how anti-Nazis protesters are just as bad as the Nazis themselves. Don't be an idiot Vote to take your country back from the people we lost 500 thousand men fighting.

As an old white guy I can tell you that there are many old white guys who believe that the societal changes are undermining their position of power and privilege. How do I know this? Because they tell me. They are driven by fear.

And there are others who have failed in their lives and need a scapegoat. "It's the Mexican's fault" is so much more palatable than "Gee, I sure ****ed that up"

As an affluent guy I can tell you that most affluent guys who voted for Trump absolutely despise him. But he has put millions of dollars into their company's coffers (that have driven up bonuses and share prices) and have increased their take home pay by many tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of dollars in lower taxes. So they vote to enrich themselves. We funneled money from future generations to today's rich. Great for me, okay for my kids since they'll get a nice inheritance, but terrible for middle and lower class kids. The tab goes to our kids and grand kids, as we have a trillion dollar deficit during a period of economic strength. This is MORALLY REPUGNANT and our progeny will rightfully hate us for this. (both parties to blame, btw).

And this from me, a capitalist, small government, fiscal conservative.

And in the world of white male power brokers, there is open discussion about how to continue duping the lower class with talk about immigrants, guns, country, values, and God. To vote Republican and maintain the status quo power structure. The carnival barker draws your attention to the snake oil salesman. And the lower and middle class snake oil consumers drink happily until they are dead.

Folks, this is the reality we live in. Informed people know this to be true. Others live in ignorance or denial.

Hard Stop.

Trump did not 'say mean things'. He embraced white nationalism during his campaign to appeal to the lowest common denominator, country be damned. Enough uneducated old white racist men to win you the vote. So **** ethics or trying to coexists with your fellow country men. Mexicans are rapists! Lock her up!

Only difference between Germany's Nazis and the Trumpists is that there are enough decent Americans to vote these bastards out.

Which we will tomorrow. Then again in 2 years.

Freakin' Sierra Club is standing in the way of Republicans who want to solve the CO2 emissions problem!!!

No matter WHAT goes wrong, we can always find someone else to blame.

Persecution complex is a beautiful thing.

"Antifa is just as bad as the Nazis they're protesting".

-Said nobody ever who's not a Nazi

Antifa is bad. But that does not make the Nazis any better.

It's like when discussing Stalin, someone says "well, Pol Pot also killed millions of people" To which I reply: "and your point is... ????"

Sounds like you are better informed on this than me. In any case, from what I've read, I don't think the concern with Global Warming is alarmist. I think it's real and happening before our eyes and that the pollution problem is much worse than advertised. One good thing I saw in the article was the Trump actually wants to do something about plastics pollution.
