Redrafting the 2010 NBA Draft

I was on the front row of the ESA when they announced Gordon Hayward. I booed my head off, and I still stand by my boo. Paul George was the better player and KOC was clearly WRONG.

Clearly a bunch of other teams were wrong in that draft too. Its mostly a crap shoot. I think the Jazz made out pretty well.

White Chocolate, thanks for the list but i really wanna see the other half of the list as well. Ed Davis taken over Hayward.. 2nd author also took Quincy Pondexter over Hayward!! Wow...

A corner specialist with average D is a top 10 pick in a redraft huh? Why are they hatin on Turner? Come on now, It's ridiculous to take Pondexter over Evan Turner or Gordon. Even Aminu is better than him imo.

Quincy had never averaged more than 21 min a game. 6.4 ppg is his career high in scoring. What the hell is wrong with second analyst?

I wouldn't put any stock into these things. One redraft had Omer Asik ahead of Derrick Rose, Serge Ibaka, Roy Hibbert, and Brook Lopez.

I'm Turkish. I have the same name with him (Faruk). His full name is Omer Faruk Asik.
Even if he was my own brother, I wouldn't do that. Are they high? What's the point in taking a good defensive center ahead of a league mvp or couple of all star centers. Complete BS..

I definitely don't understand Asik over Ibaka, but taking in account Lopez and Rose injury problems I could see why he would do that. Rose might not even come back and Lopez was out this whole year.

Why not "Robin Lopez" then? You saw Ömer last season (13-14). He was a backup C and rarely played big minutes. The season before, Brook was an all star...

Asik was so much better when he played for Thibs. That's how he earned that 9 mil a year contract, playing d for him. I feel bad for him because he went to Houston thinking he was always going to be the starting center.

Agree. There were so many players in the 9-16 range rated about the same. We rail on KOC for taking Hayward, but so many wanted Henry, Babbitt, Sanders, Patterson, Davis, etc. OK, we didn't get George. But we also didn't get Cole Aldrich! And, of course, there was a reason Bledsoe would have never been a consideration at #9, either.

Watching him live was great. Back in 2006 nobody knew him. I was amazed. He was loaned to an affiliate team in the league. Guys were almost all scrubs. Even he was playin for the worst team in Div 1, Asik was the best shot blocker in Turkish League at the age of 20-21. Averaged double double (10 ppg 11 rpg). You know It's not easy to fill the stat sheet in any of the high quality leagues in Europe.
Interesting fact that he didn't play for 7 months in 2008 i think. Guess why? Torn acl... :)
