Reggie Jackson vs Brandon Knight

trade a proven 17 and 9 guy for an undersized Biyombo who could be 26, has no offensive game and has the highest bust potential out of anyone in the draft. You would make a great GM

Do more research. Biyombo has doctors proving he is under the age of 19. The bones in his wrists have not even connected yet. They have doctors proving it. And teams are not even worried about that anymore.
Actually there is way more risk with other players in this draft than Biyombo. People like to label him high risk because he is from africa and the history of those players. Rather than actually studying the player himself. Every team knows he will be a defensive force. That is the only reason why teams are going to draft him. They are not worried about his offensive game. Ben Wallace had no offensive game at all. So your logic makes no sense. Teams are just wondering how high of a draft pick is he worth for only providing defense.

Also 6'8 PF's are easy to come by. You act like Millsap is some rare player that its hard to find players who can average 17 and 9 when given the minutes
If Brandon Bass was on the Jazz he would average the same amount of points and rebounds. Its not hard to score in the Jazz offense when your the PF. Everything revolves around them scoring. You put Millsap on any other team where we wouldn't be setting him up he wouldn't even average 15 points. He would be a Udonis Haslem(prime) type player.
I can name like 10 undersized PF's who can easily provide that.

Size matters in this league. Get rid of the midgets. I was a homer of Millsap for years. But every contending team has legit size at the 4 and 5.

Nonetheless, it makes zero sense to trade Millsap for an unproven Biyombo. We would be playing 4 vs 5 on offensive. He is only 6 9 which would be extremely undersized to play the 5

He has a 7'7 wing span. You don't catch with your head or block with your head or rebound. He is strong. Ben Wallace embarrassed Shaq for years during his Laker time. I am not worried about his height when he is aggressive and long and strong. undersized scoring PF's are in every single draft every year. You can always get someone like Millsap. You can't get someone with Biyombo's length, strength and athleticism and defensive force very often. Its the rare things that win championships not holding on to just talent in general. People need roles on a team. Not just talent and stats.

Saying that you can get a player like Sap every draft is an insult to Millsap. He is a special player who has proven he can score and rebound. He is like Jason Terry or Ginobili, only at the PF spot. He would be best with 25-30 mpg where he can go all out and beast. There aren't many players who can do what Sap does. He has soft touch, good hands, rebounds well, and can shoot well.

Less than informed. Bismack's standing reach is = Dwight Howard. Jazz need a defensive force at the C.

I know its an insult but if you gave,
Brandon Bass
Carl Landry (Already proven)
David Lee
Tyler Hansbrough
Jason Maxiell
Ed Davis

Playing 34 minutes a night in the Jazz offense. They all would average 15-18 points per game and 7 rebounds like Millsap did. He is a hard worker and I like Millsap but he is not going to win us a championship. Most offenses in the league never run it through the big guys. They don't normally set them up to score so often. That is why Boozer scored more here in Utah than he did with Cleveland and the Bulls. The Jazz offense makes average PF's look better than they would be on a different team.

I don't know why you threw David Lee in there. Doesn't he have a max contract? But yeah, Millsap is better than all of those guys, maybe better than Lee.

I like Reggie Jackson but my problem with him is that he relies on athleticism instead of smarts and skills like Knight does. That works in the college game, and on occasion works in the NBA....but I just can't trust players like that when it comes down to the clutch.

I am not comparing contracts. David Lee is overrated. But his stats would make a significant boost on the Jazz.

Millsap might be better than all of those guys. But it is not by a big margin. Very small. People just see stats and go "we can't trade someone who provides those stats for someone else". My point is Millsap is very easy to replace. any of those guys listed about can get similar stats on the Jazz. Millsap would be a 13 or 14 and 8 rebound a game player on any other team in the league. That is not hard to do. Its hard to protect the paint on defense. Its rare to find someone who can do that. And Biyombo provides that already. And has Amazing potential to be one of the best in the league at it.
Scoring PF's who are average rebounders are very common. Scoring PF's and so called franchise PG's are very easy to find. Look at every team in the league. just about every team has both of those. Not ever team has Defenders down low who protect the basket. The ones who do are the elite teams. Its that simple.

My problem isn't with Knight in general. My problem with Knight is drafting him with the 3rd pick! Its insane! All of his problems in his game are big problems that he needs to fix.
And everything I have read on Reggie Jackson stated he was very patient in the flex offense and got better and better each year.

Knght is a ball hog who goes 1 on 1. They had to take the ball out of his hands on offense and run him off screens because he couldn't run the team.

Millsap is leagues ahead of every guy on that list offensively besides Lee. You are clearly undervaluing Millsap.
